Which make you go a bit dolally? I'm on dihydrocodeine for a perforated ear drum and it's making me feel a bit funny.

I remember being on painkillers after a major car accident and aparrently I was having a deep conversation with my cheese and tomato sandwich on the drive home.

I'm only going to be using it to get me through work tomorrow them have a break over the weekend-I dot want to become dependent. Although I am enjoying this silly feeling I'm getting. Usually codeine just knocks me out!

I did but although it helped ease the pain, I could still feel it and the pressure. I can't feel a thing now! Unless I blow my nose then I can feel air whooshing out my ear!

Ouch, yes, I had one a couple of years ago and it's not funny. You can take those two with ordinary codeine too - three different classes. But if you're not using heavy machinery or anything it may not matter anyway. Be careful!

at one point I was taking diazepam, 60mcg codeine and paracetamol, it was around about then that I became convinced that my cats were wearing hand knitted jumpers with their initials on them in a very natty red and yellow striped pattern. Mr N and the kids could hear me in the living room chatting to the cats and telling them all about it

. Luckily with Tramadol I just went into a stupor

Diazepam can make me light-headed and spaced out.

Fortunately, at my current body weight there is enough of me that most things don't have a strong effect.

When I'm 3-5 stones lighter, meds can affect me more.

I'm loopy when I'm off my meds and I feel really strange (and unwell) if I forget to take them.

The first time I took codeine I was amazingly boneless on it and needed to lean against walls to remain (kind of) upright. But now I'm used to it and even had dihydrocodeine prescribed for the benefits of it's side effects and not for pain relief.

I was prescribed Amytryptylene for pain relief although its an old school anti-depressant, it did nothingfor me but give me terrifying nightmares and make me sleep 23 hours out of 24, didn't help the pain either

I've not had tramadol and from some of the stories I've heard, I'm glad I haven't!

I'm fine with Codeine but morphine makes me vomit too-but to some it's the other way round. I find it fascinating how we react to different things in different ways.

I'm not at the boneless stage but I havent gotten up to a full dose in my system yet!

I was also convinced that our neighbours house was surrounded by heavy plant (as in machinery) and ordered myself some velcro fastening shoes on the internet. In fact several shopping trips ended in disaster and rapid returns.

I got prescribed citalopram to help with some sleeping issues I was having (still do) it's an anti depressant but I assume there was some logic there, about an hour after taking it I felt like I was completely pissed out of my head, laid on my bed with my head spinning then was really sick, didn't take any more of those, can't be in that state with a 2 year old in the house!! X

I thought the fan that was on the bedside table was a coffee machine.. And I had to lie very still, if I moved I thought I was falling off the edge of a cliff!!

I only took them for 48 hours, and decided that the pain was better than the horrid feeling the Meds gave me
