What does amp mean ??

It's short for ampersand which is that squiggly symbol on your keyboard which can mean 'and'. Sometimes if you use it it pops up as 'amp'. Don't know why but I am sure there are more techy people on here who can tell you.

As above; it is an abreviation of ampersand. Which is a corruption of " and per se and" or "and on its own and". It was the 27th letter of the Victorian alphabet.
