RIP James Avery

Despite being best-known for the role of Uncle Phil from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air he also starred in Grey's Anatomy, The Closer and The Jeffersons.

He also provided the voice of Shredder in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Fresh Prince is a legendary comedy, and just wouldn't have been the same without Averys charisma bringing Uncle Phil to life. The scene where Will mimed 'I am telling you' to him is one of the most hilarious comedy moments I've ever seen

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

RIP to a wonderful actor. Fresh Prince had a great ensemble cast but his gravitas kept it together. I loved him Grey's Anatomy too.
