I dont think anyone 'nics' the usernames.. but because they have been used once for some reason they wont be allowed to be used again.

Everyone has this problem and think admin should sort it out. Once one account is closed down that username should be 'free' ..

I don't think it's someone else nicking the name. A lot of people had this problem last year too. Seems to be a glitch or a site "feature" that you can't change your name to one you've had before. I'm not sure if it works that way with all names or just some though.

Mine was. Maybe it is being used but they have hidden their profile so they won't appear in searches.

It's not the end of the world really though is it x
