Ok, would value your help. Have to buy one or other, cheaply, for someone who would game a bit and use it for social network sites. Don't have much money to spend- any suggestions?

How much you looking to spend? You can get some smashing 7 inch tablets for about £120.

Think Currys is doing the Samsung 10 inch tab for £229 was £329.

Also depends on what games they will be playing as most consumer laptops are not made for high level gaming ??

As above though would go for a laptop over a tablet

I have a small msi net book a d I also have a Samsung Galaxy tab but I have to admit I prefer the net book.

It could be because I'm more used to typing on a keyboard as that's what I do every day in my job. I think a net book is probably slightly more expensive than a tablet. Good luck

Sadly, you've just missed 2 cracking tablet deals courtesy of Tesco.

A 7" Asus at £69(£129), and an 8" Samsung at £149(£199).

They're no longer available online at these prices, but it might be worth checking instore at the Port.

Bought 2 of the Samsungs myself, I think Amazon might be doing them at £179.

If £200 is your budget definetly a tablet ! Laptop or netbook for that price wont be up too much.
