There was the guy I was seriously in to who told me he could be equally into me. If I was a size 12. He was married at the time and it wasn't going well. At one point he called me late at night and begged me to lose the weight "to give him a reason to leave". That ended badly...

Oh and one more.. Years ago I kept seeing a guy around the pub, thought he was lovely but he was seeing someone. Didn't see him around again for a while. I was in a relationship and had my son. When my ex moved out I happened to see this guys name ok Facebook and requested him as a friend. He told me that he used to like me but by the time he split with the girl I was with someone so he didn't make a move. Love, we met on here ages ago, and it was one of those moments that the minute we met it was if wed known each other for years. The sex was amazing, but we enjoyed each other's company as well, chatted on the phone etc and hated being apart.

Sadly though life and family gets in the way and it wasn't meant to be, now she's back with her family and I'm alone and still pinning for her in my heart, we still talk occasionally but not often and it kills me to see her. (Doesn't help we live close to each other)

I only fell in love with a guy I treated terribly after I threw him out for the third time, he wouldn't come back and I don't blame him!!!

Love can be an odd thing. I broke up about 6months ago with a girl who I care terribly about - but somehow things just weren't working and think it would have been selfish to string her along or just keep flogging a dead horse.

Don't have good stories, I fell madly, irrationally in love with a man, but it was unrequited. Took me a long time to get over...

Oh I once stared, smiled and fantasised about a guy on the train for 4 hrs, he smelt delicious! And the staring/smiling was mutual but I guess we were both too shy to do anything.

Ok, I must be the most sad person on here!

I have been in lust or was it loneliness? (better description!) He was married and left his wife for me,

then cheated on me (yes karma!) and 'settled' for a great guy, but was just a friendship kind of thing, so I had to break it off after 5 years, I can honestly say I have NEVER been in love, and I doubt very much I ever will be! BUT I do always say 'never say never' as you don't know what is round the corner

met a guy online (can hear you all yawning now) and he was/is in the Navy.. started out as pen pals

met up when he finished his iraq tour.. over 3 years i fell head over heels in love with him, we never officially got it together but were awesome friends, i told him how i felt, he didnt feel the same.

i stopped all contact with him, met my daughters dad, fell pregnant and all i could think of was 'now im never ever gonna get with Ade'.. anyhow, i got back in contact let him know my situation we became close again. He at this time had a gf, he was unhappy.. i kept torturing myself by believing one day he;d love me too. I was mearly being dangled and teased.

About 2yr ago i finally fell out of love with him.. was about the same time that he told me he loved me and he couldnt believe he was so blind.

as much as i do care for him, i fell out of love with him. Ive not spoken to him for a year and a half noww.. he still pings me messages on facebook but i never reply, had a text the other day wishing my daughter a happy birthday.

But he's still in the relationship he claimed to be so unhappy in. It messes with my head so i know deep down i made the right call to be strong and not fall for it.

My best was my soul mate, the love of my life in fact my everything... Til one night an hour after us having a giggle on the phone he passed away. Never did tell him just how much he meant to me... I'm sure he knew, but sadly regret never actually telling him!

See thats sad and i dont see that as the one that got away but more the one you will treasure ....a few on here know my story and i still see my twins dad as my soul mate he might not be here in the flesh but hes always with me and a big part of my life and noone will ever come that close again.

I've never been 'in love', but regularly fall in and out of lust....however a couple of tales on here have made me think I need to 'man up' and take some action with someone I really like, but I'm scared! I don't seem to do well in relationships and he had a little un which terrifies me as I'm not a kid person. Plus if he doesn't return the feelings in the same way then that'll more than likely put a swift end to the fun we've been having for a while now

I met someone on here, the sexual chemistry was the most amazing I've ever experienced. We met often, talked often, & became very close. I helped her through some tough times & I fell for her completely. It got to the point where all I wanted in life was to look after her, care for her & devote myself to her happiness. It ended for reasons I won't go into but I think about her every day still & a part of me keeps hoping the next text or call I get is from her. It's been 2 months since I last saw her. A colleague at work whom I consider as an untouchable, being a colleague in the same team and has a long term girlfriend.

I do not flirt with him at work or at social gatherings, and he may not be aware of my lust/affection for him.

However, I'll make sure he knows if and when he leaves.

Mate I've been there and know how you feel but believe me time is a great healer.

In time you'll find someone else and you'll think back on how heartbroken you were and say to yourself what the heck was that all about.

Thats how i felt anyway.
