Somewhere in North Norfolk

It's 8.40am.

Already today my long-haired girl cat has come for a cuddle with squishy poo liberal spread through and squashed into her fluffy trousers.

And my inbox is already making want to bash my head against something.

I've had around 3 hours sleep and my neighbour is crashing around next door again. For something like the tenth day in a row.

I'm expecting a parcel to be delivered today and I know the minute I get in the shower they'll try to deliver.

What next?

I wasn't meaning for the cat. That's easily sorted - pop him/ her outside for the day for a cleanup!!

He's not been there yet. It's a contractor who has made the noise for the past few days and he couldn't give a crap.

To be fair, it's after 8 so it is a reasonable hour for working. It's not his problem I can't sleep. That said, the owner did say he'd keep the work on the rooms adjoining my place to later in the day.

I'll speak to him when I see him. It may be that he needs to have another word with the contractor.

It means that things can only get better.

The cat will give you thank you cuddles all day.

The delivery man will be hot and join you n the shower.

Your neighbour will fall off a ladder....

Indoor cats. She got popped under the shower for a clean up.

I am not her favourite person now.

I knew it was going to be one of those days today since last night. Woke up, vomited, it's pissing down with rain and it's windy as fuck outside.

The cat thing made me giggle only because I've had experience of that very thing so know how you feel and I'm sure when you're waiting for a parcel they are spying on you and ring the bell when you're in the shower lol. Hope your day gets better

Aww thanks. I've got coffee now though and the cat is clean so I'm fine.

In the grand scheme of things this morning's niggles are very minor.

And if today continues in the same way then tomorrow will seem that much better as a result.

There's just something about being woken by a poo covered cat that takes the shine off a morning!

It is part of owning pets though and, on balance, the experience is far more positive than negative.

I don't suppose having an upset tummy and ending up poo covered was a great start to her day either!

I have two. Boy cat steered well clear! Sensible chap.

She's a bit grumpy about being washed but is otherwise fine.

She's an indoor cat so she can't. She does regularly hunt her toys at night and leave them beside my bed for me.
