There are many controversial topics discussed and argued on these cum soaked pages of the forums....have you ever been made to rethink your stance on a topic...to the point of now having a differing _iew?

How does changing your mind make you a better person?

What is a better person? The thread title is interesting.

Yes to the OP. It may not change my outlook but I will look at the subject in a different way. Sometimes I have changed my _iew but not often.

As a scientist, I have absolutely no problem with changing my _iews when presented with new information.

I think when a change in a persons strongly held _iewpoint happens, it's an extremely healthy personal growth...

I had a very negative _iew on submissive people, I now understand that my warped experiences of being controlled was also warping my _iewpoint...therefore I grow as a person!

Nobody likes a know it all. I like thought provoking threads but they are in short supply on here and the better ones often get deliberately sabotaged.

Fuck! you must be like a god to them, then!

Most scientists get VERY stuck in their _iewpoints!

Not even a little bit true! The whole point in science is changing your _iew based on what's observed. I think you'll find that it's people who have faith in something or believe something that get very stubborn and confrontational when their beliefs are questioned.

A person who continues to learn things, they don't wanna think about?

It's a personal question, and an individual answer!

My _iew can be swayed somewhat, and I can usually see the other persons point of _iew, wether I feel it's right or wrong in their eyes... But... I'm a stubborn bitch

"Yes. "

Of course I meant that yes, some threads have made me re_iew my initial opinion. And sometimes that resulted in an adjustment. Has it made me a better person? Perhaps a bit more flexible.

Oh I have found that already, more interestingly though, I've found they also see and read what they want to, and even claim to know what the writers were thinking and feeling at the time of posting a comment on the forums....I've recently met a scientist from Glasgow science centre, he absolutely denies the possibility of a creator...he's only one example of course, but many others still think, "not possible" even though, they wouldn't be caught dead saying it!

Hehe...and so you should be, a belief is not something that should be given up without hefty discussion!
