I think both have always been in existence, a bit like Christmas and Hanukkah occuring at roughly the same time so you can say Happy Christmas and Happy Hanukkah.

Hardly ! Seeing as they have gone bust and sold out ....

Passover is a moveable feast like Easter. Lasts for eight days usually and begins on the fifteenth day of Nissan if I remember facts well enough .. This year it's 30th March so it begins Tues.

I don't recall Mary being quoted in the scriptures as saying, "Thanks for the Gold and the Frankincense but not so much of the Easter Eggs next time, ok?"

Errr...Christmas time is when the three wise men came carrying gifts. Easter is when he died on the cross...allegedly!

Happy Kraft dosn't sound right at all, at all. The brand name Cadburys will be around for a very long time.

Nissan, did it used to be Datsun?

Hey, I know the story of the Nativity and I know what Easter is. I just felt like being frivolous.

Not being religious in any way whatsoever I can honestly say that I wouldn't miss them. So long as they aren't replaced by another culture's religious identity then I couldn't care less if all the churches were pulled down.
