My niece is getting up at 5am to be outside at 6am.

Is anyone else that eager?

Only thing I am doing "early" that involves a shop is exchanging a Christmas gift as it was the wrong size. Other than that I will be enjoying the football and the rugby. Surely people must be skint by now after Xmas and spending all that money Secondly the more people that shop on that day, the more compulsory it is to work it. Boxing Day to me is like Christmas, spend it with family and friends not shopping.

Generally the boxing day sales are crap and i'd wait till new year.

even then its the same stock clearance and i'd rather not get in the middle of crazy sales shoppers and wait till the madness had calmed down.

If your niece is insistent on Next stuff then she may be better off going to one of their clearance outlets. Same stock but odd sizes that few people buy which suits me fine cause of my build

sales aint like they used to be.

years ago it was items that were already in a shop with prices slashed.

now sale stuff is bought in especially..so people think they are actually getting a bargain and they aint..shop makes up the original price then just reduces it! its all a con

I hear that, my first proper job was in a shopping centre in a shop that sold ladies and gents stuff, the ladies floor was terrifying on boxing day.

I had clothes hanger thrown at me for not having the right size of jeans left.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I wouldn't get out of bed at all for the Next sale.

I usually avoid the sales because I'm not good in crowds. I need some Lush stuff though so am considering going there later.

Make it 2 people.

Everyone should boycott shopping for the day. Surely then retailers will see sense

I've just woken up but there's no way I'd get up to go to any sales. My Christmas includes Boxing day as well and another family meal, dont imagine they'd be best pleased if I said I was going shopping!

I got some bits online at 5am yesterday while I was awake and my lad was still asleep!! Few pairs of joggers for him for nursery, some red chinos and a stone roses tshirt and trainers all half price (stuff I've seen in the shop previously)

I'm not overly keen on Next stuff and I don't NEED any more clothes, might pop to Boots Friday see if they have the Joules make up bag I want.

Have also been on to Joules website already, few little bits that have caught my eye.

I hate browsing through sales racks as it is like a jumble sale and even worse after Christmas when people leave common sense at home so I wait a while and then find things are reduced further.
