Christmas Eve

So I really have no plans to do anything Christmas Eve night and that got me thinking.... What do other people do Christmas Eve?

Do you have plans to party?

See family?

Get to where you need to be for the big day?

Arrange a meet?

Let me know

After struggling to get the kids to bed we plan on chilling out over our favorite drink and watching a silly silly Christmas film that we wouldn't even entertain the idea of watching any other day of the year because were a couple of sentimental old gits!

I will be going to Mass, Midnight Mass is too packed usually so will go in the morning, I will then be running around like a blue arse fly, then meeting a lovely lady for wine and frivolity , then I may come on here depending how much alcohol I have consumed.

Getting all the pressies downstairs from the attic which includes going right past the kids' bedroom door, as quietly as possible. Then I think I will crack open some wine and hit my favourite chat room as there's bound to be some other people who are home without adult company.

unusual/hopefully enjoyable night for us.

not seen daughter for 18months (stupid family fall out), shes now expecting and we've arranged a bar meal with her and partner. Really looking forward to hopefully resolving past differences and getting head round being a grandparent

Meeting my best friend to exchange kids gifts then go to town for a look round shops. Might be having a social chat with someone but doubt it. Friends have said come to local pub for a few hours but still have wrapping to do as can't seem to get enthusiastic about it this year

My little one was in tears last night as ladt Christmas day he was at his dads and his dad had only bought him two present s to unwrap and he was devastated. His dads youngest (step brother or half-no idea) had loads. So my youngest was checking he wasn't back there this Christmas day getting all upset. After confirming no he wasn't. He burst into tears again missing his dad. So his dad is popping to mums to meet us at hers so kids can see him.

So I have to look at the ex husband for a few hoyrs. Joyful! !!......but little one gets to smile for a bit.
