Bucks Fizz made with Asti the moment I wake up.

Red wine with the meal.

Port with the cheeses.

Cocktails I am likely to consume throughout the festive period are Long Island Ice Tea, Golden Cadillac, Golden Dream, Snow Ball, Grasshopper, and Blue Hawaiian.

It was a Golden Cadillac earlier, and I am likely to have a Snow Ball later after my steak dinner.

It is a mixture of cream, Galliano and Crème de cacao.

Giles married Esther, the sister of Alexander's wife, when he was about 40.

I remember reading his restaurant reviews and he kept mentioning Esther being there, like they were courting right before my eyes.

You can drink on antibiotics, just ask your doctor or chemists for the ones you can drink on. Only a small number of medicines are affected by alcohol. Always check first though.

I don't know what a heavy is but I think there should be some Absinthe in there too.

A London pub band did a similar song. The open ending line will give a clue as to how old it is.

On the first day of Christmas the barmaid gave to me, a lager for 70p.

2 scotch and s

3 rum and blacks and so on.

Can you even get a packet of crisps for 70p in a pub now?

I doubt it. Two pints of lager and a packet of crisps cost the same now as a meal out back then.
