Anyone else chosen to give to charity through this method?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

A couple of million people do according to the stats.

I'm self employed so I give directly to a range of causes.

If it possible for you to claim tax relief on your donations?

If its a properly set up Give As You Earn scheme then you receive tax relief at a 20% rate so every £5 sacrificed only costs you £4

Yes but I don't.

The thing about Give as You Earn is that every £1 only costs you 80p so it has been made tax efficient for salaried people but the charity gets the full £1.
