Titz Towers, North Notts

I'm not looking forward to the actual eve bit. Every Christmas Eve for the last 37 years I've gone to the party thrown by the lady who lived across the road from us when I was a kid. We all sit around, play some quiz games, the kids hunt the chocolates and we have a great buffet. Her husband was a baker and puts on a magnificent and splendiferous spread. However, the average age of the attendee is about 65 and I've realised I'm only going for the spread (trust me, you would, too if you had sampled it). So I was going to cancel it and find something else to do. However, the lady lost her husband in September and so it is her first Christmas without him and I feel it would be unfair to jump ship now.

So at 21.00 I shall be sat there, youngest in the room, trying to work out which American state is the odd one out when we do the quiz....
