In Your Hearts

Our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends of those who passed away in this heinous crime.

Let's hope the real perpetrators are caught and put on trial.

"Time flys but people dont forget."

You get the feeling the people of Lockerbie are ready to move on.

Near Edinburgh..

Hubby grew up near Lockerbie and was a young teenager at the Time of the Disaster - and he also knew quite a few people in Lockerbie..

The locals had to deal with the carnage and the aftermath - But they are now getting a bit fed up with the 5 year, 10 year, 15 year, 20 year, and now 25 years anniversay..

There is already a Memorial there and the locals don't want the 5 yearly influx of press and cameras and publicity !! They have had enough IMO

I don't think they'll have much luck with that. Before the disaster Lockerbie was just a name on a road sign on the A74 to me. I suspect the majority wouldn't have ever heard of it.

firstly i cannot believe its been twenty five years.

secondly having read some of the comments about the people of lockerbie not wanting to mark this day with all the press etc, then the press should respect their wishes.
