What a bargain.£1.50 Shower curtain from Tesco's,Meant I got to sleep in a dry bed lol.

My Friend gushes and squirts loads mmmmmmmm and even with using extra towels the bed gets soaked,so we came up with the idea of a shower curtain. brilliant !!!!!!!

Ok a little preparation before hand but well worth it,

Great idea but it's gonna be freezin' to lay on, even worse when it gets wet. If we use one then it's going to have a sheet at least on top of it! Preferrably a nice thick towel! Think Maria and I may clash over this one. She loves a really cold bed and I love a hot one!

what i do is have my bed made as normal then put the shower curtain over the top. Ive got an old duvet that i put over the top that can easily be washed but saves the good bed. First time i just used the shower curtain and it kept sticking to my arse and then i stood up sat down and made a big sqelch sound lol

I put an extra sheet over the top it slips a bit but saves the matress and me sleeping on the edge to avoid the wet patches lol.

When my youngest was a baby I got a waterproof matress protecter. Hell them things fair soak up water!!!

I washed it like I do the normal ones, pulled it out the washing machine and promptly fell over cos it has soaked up all the water that was pumped into the machine took about a week to dry out.

If I was a gusher or a squirter I would go with the matress protector option rather than the shower curtain cos I know how much they soak up

lol

AM thinking of investing in one rather than shower curtain, as more comfy to bounce on too - without the towels and sheet slipping all over the shop.

Think my mattressabout had it now as been soaked regaardless of towels, to when get new one wanna keep it fresh and bouncy as long as poss

The one I got for my daughter was a cheap one I think from argos but it was soft and similar to a sheet so maybe wouldnt stick like the plastic sheeting or shower curtains, which has to be a good thing

I would have pled all innocence and turned the matress over, but then cos I dont gush or squirt I have no idea how wet things actually get!!

But I have to say hun when I spent the night at a posh hotel in Edinburgh and got hair dye all over the white bedding they never billed me, even tho I must have ruined the pillow case sheet and duvet cover not to mention half a dozen towels

Sheets and towels easy and cheap to replace.

But having a sodden mattress....erm, cant exactly bed the next couple in it the next few hours after room service been, lol

There were 4 of us in there - 3 of us squirty/gushy types too.

It was so wet we all cuddled up on the floor with the extra blankets that they give you, lol

Was a good night tho - but the £75 was a bit off a shock to my bank balance when i hadnt budgeted for it, hehehehe

Now I dont feel so bad at not being a gusher lol no wonder you are looking for ideas to save money!!

Mind you the matress I am looking to get for my own bed is a hell of a lot more than £75, but a protecter might just save you your last few quid.

Netherlands

Reminds me of an anecdote;

Friend of mine was over visiting Eurotrashland.

Girl walks up to him in the morning.

"Hangover?"

"Do I know you?"

"ASDA, Nottingham, Baked Beans, 6p"

I've often remarked to Siren that it would be nice if she gushed but after reading this thread I'm not so sure anymore. I prefer a nice warm bed any day of the week lol.

I can see a rush on Tesco's now Nothing like a bit of preparation though. If i was in devilment mode today i might print some stickers off saying "good for gushers" and sneak them on the packaging next time i visit.
