It is not a surprising verdict. The sentencing will happen in the New Year.

The family are remaining dignified.

They'll be in top security for a long while, segregated, but what goes around comes around.

i feel sorry for his family as they have had to endure all the detail of their son or husbands death to satisfy the defendants day in court so they can preach their message of hate.

there is cctv of every sickening act they perpetrated on that day and yet they pleaded not guilty.

the family of lee rigby have conducted themselves with dignity throughout this whole ordeal since may and i cannot begin to imagine the Christmas they will have.

Yeah, it would have been quicker and cheaper just to take them round the back of barracks and shoot them.

Fortunately, the UK isn't that sort of country.

A "fair" sentence would deportation back to what ever shithole they came from,

Put them on a Hercules and throw them out at 25000 feet, oh and don't waste any money on a parachute !

They can pray to whatever it is they pray to during the 20 seconds it would take them to hit the ground

I think they were both born here, not sure.

As to dropping them out of a Hercules, do it over the deepest part of the Atlantic.

Idi Amin used to do exactly that with his political opponents in Uganda, packed the Herc with them and dropped them into the biggest lake in Uganda. No wonder he was unopposed for so many years.

First thing I did the weekend it happened was go and buy a 'Help the heros' hoody and wear it with pride.

Hope the bastards have it kicked out of them on a weekly basis, hope they die in jail at a very old age in a lot of pain.

Most of all, I hope this serves as a lesson to others out there, but I doubt it.

Thankfully the legal system dosent believe in 'eye for an eye' because if it did, they would get the easy route out by being hung.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

The interview with Adebowale's support worker says she feels he was radicalised in prison. This is following the attack on him and the murder of his friend and his imprisonment on drugs charges.

It begs the question of how do we get to the point where British young men are becoming so radicalised and violent?

It was a horrendous crime but we don't have the death penalty and I don't want it back.

The sentencing is in January. I don't think the Fab take them out and shoot them brigade will affect the sentence.

Or keep them alive, just about and torture them forever and make them think they have already died and ended up in hell. Punish them, dont give them the easier option of dying.

They're all busy on the Ian Watkins threads. They can only shoot one person a day due to union rules.

He was pretty big on torture too wasn't he?

And yet on this and the Ian Watkins thread people seem to find this sort of regime desirable. Unbelievable.

Facebook's full of brainless idiots saying "hang em".

It'd be a full-time job explaining to them that they'd welcome that - they'd see it as an act of martyrdom brought about by an evil state.

I despair sometimes - reading the Ian Watkins thread hasn't helped!

They should be given a whole of life sentence then placed into the deepest part of prison aloud with the minimum we can get away giving them, then their names should never again be seen in print or mentioned on TV. Treat them as if they don’t exist.

I think you will find that most people couldn't give a toss whether they have become martyrs or not! If they were hung then that would be that. They would off the uk's payroll, gone for good, no longer a burden on this countries struggling system . They expected to be shot that day so let's grant them their wish. Why the hell should we now look after them for the next however many years and give them the same rights as everyone else?? When they get out ( I suppose after 5 years) they will have the same brain washed mentality and will probably try and do something similar again!!

that's ok as i wasn't advocating that course of action however it is worth exploring lol

i do find it is ironic that they use the very system they want to destroy for their own ends when its suits them.

It needs to be ome kind of punishment where the criminal can't do it again but more importantly, it sends a massive detterent out to others to try and get them to stop and think 'Bloody hell, maybe I won't do this then, look whats happened to so and so'.

Thats why hanging in this case wouldn't work.

Lock them up, keep them locked up and I dont give a shit what makes there life hell, just make sure the message gets out so that this never happens again.

I want them to suffer. Killing them gives them exactly what they want.

In effect, keeping them alive means their mission partly failed. That's more likely going to cause them pain and suffering. I don't want those two evil guys standing on the gallows smiling beatifically as they think they're a few seconds away from paradise and 72 virgins.

The legal system has got its faults, but I can't see how anyone seriously thinks these guys will be out in 5 years

So you want the police to murder the murderers , then who murders the murderous police ?

But seriously do you really want a police force that carries out instant justice. ?

So what you're advocating is a secret police force that goes around killing people without a trial. A bit like Saddam Hussains regime.

They come from greenwhich and Romford, in fact very close to where the murder occurred. Don't really know if there is a way to stop two individuals from misinterpreting something to find meaning in their lives. It is the same area that stephen Lawrence was tragically killed in as well as numerous other attacks. I am in no way excusing any of these actions but I can say that poverty, drug use and deprivation tend to go along with theses crimes. I agree that they will suffer more by serving a whole life sentence and so they can be seen for what they were that night, cowards who attacked someone who was walking home.
