As I nearly got killed by an artificial one on Sunday (mild anaphylaxis) I would be interested to know if it works!

I imagine watering it is a good start.

I am assuming it's a type of conifer ?

They are extremely hardy and should be really hard to kill!

I grew my own last year from a sprig they gave me when buying my real tree. It was in a large pot until summer then I moved it into the garden. It's now a 6ft nord lol

According to the tag it is a 'Albertiana Conica'

10 year height 3ft

It is also very prickly - as I just found out removing the tag OUCHES!!!
