I'm not overly comfortable with this idea. Isn't giving up to prove you can one of the signs of alcoholism?

Personally I drink very little so this wouldn't be a challenge for me.

Isn't it a sponsored thing? You don't drink for the whole of January. I can't remember which charity it is in aid of.

It's for cancer research and it's to give up alcohol for January. Personally as I drink very little & often go months between alcoholic drinks it's not much of a challenge. However I know some of my friends would find it a big challenge.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

It wouldn't be a challenge for me either. I rarely drink alcohol and often go for more than a month at a time without drinking any alcohol at all.

I'm doing it too!! After raising £600 last year I'm so on it again!

I'm a bit of a party girl so it is indeed a challenge, more like socially than any other way.

Good luck to all fellow dry peeps!!

You mean give money for a great cause that researches cure and treatments for a disease that now affects more than 1 in 4 people in the UK and could potentially end up saving your life or a lived one's...?

Yeah, bastards..

Just so you know,Ive lost 4 members of my family over the last couple of years to that rotten illness.Plus having test myself for it.When I say another way of getting money from us we already 4 major Cancer Charities drop off bags to the house his week,we also have 2 shops near me so how many more can they come with ways for people to give.I have joined my sister an nieces on the moon walk an run for live.An between us raise £ 3000.

So next time please don't call me a bastard my mother an father were married before I was conceived thank you
