The Town by The Cross

They are medium sized yellow fruits generally surrounded by a yellow to brown sepal.

Very sweet and decorative. Love them Summer or Winter.

BTW... My dad grew them when we were children ..... we knew them as Chinese Lanterns.

Oh. Damn! I thought i discovered something that noones heard before.

...what a weird name for a fruit. I doubt it's very popular to eat. Who came up with that name! Although, i've never tried it.

They are very easy to grow if I remember right. They were invasive with rhizomes but that was a good thing about them.

If you don't want them to spread everywhere plant them in pots.....

The seeds are pretty common now and not hard to get.

Plant outdoors in spring or for a better start plant indoors then transfer out when you're sure the threat of frost is gone.

Plant in a sunny place but not one that gets sun all day long ... they do like a bit of mulching like toms n strawbs...
