"I have spent the whole evening with Windows 8.1 downloading, setting up and doing it's thing. The messages have gone from ones I understand: "Downloading" "Installing" "Restart your computer" to ones that I don't trust: "checking some stuff" "Setting up a few more things" When did they get so casual and impertinent with us? Make sure you turn off your Monitor and get undressed in the Bathroom..They are watching you " It's got a girt big arrow that won't go away. I'm switching it off anyway. I just hope it will let me work tomorrow otherwise I'll have to use this one.

"My daughter has windows 8 on her laptop and says it takes ages to update and always want to update!! "It does. You have to let it warm up and get its updates out of the way. I prefer my old laptop but it kept dying when I was working. I only use the old one for Fab and storage now. | |||
