so I agreed last night to meet up with a mate off facebook for a date.

not bad you think been friends a while yet after talking via text and odd calls im feeling its gonna be hell

hes a nice guy but a tad boring.

so do I go with my gut feeling meet for a drink as planned where I could be proved wrong (usually my gut feelings are never wrong)

or cancel and explain that im not for him

seems like this person doesn't do it for you,

but you could meet up as a mate date.

you still get a night out and if he still bores you, you've lost nothing and you don't lose a friend in the process x

You can never tell what someones like until you meet them in person. I met my OH on a dating website and didn't think much to him until I agreed to go on a date, now we've been together 4 years and are due to be married. People put up a front online, and really you need to get to know the person inside.

Worst comes to worst it's something to do and maybe a couple of free drinks. You're not obliged to se him again. x

To go ahead on a date with almost certainty that the relationship is unlikely to progress beyond friendship would akin to stringing that person along and not entirely honest in my book.

However, that's just me.
