Noel edmonds is not as nice as he makes out. Many years ago one of S Club 7 made a complaint against me at work because her ego couldn't handle me saying "no" when she asked who I was. I've had quite a few in my cab.

Dawn French was so nice.

Professor Green was great, my daughter loves him so I asked for an autograph. He wrote you're dads an awful driver.

Alan Pardew I've had a few times and he remembers me and always asks after my son, they met at an open day.

Myleene Klass is without doubt the most rudest stuck up cow I've ever met. I would drive past her if she hailed me again. Sacha Cohen was particularly rude as well.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I'm not name those I have met but my biggest disappointment at two near misses was Michael Stipe.

The first time I was asked on a date by an up and coming music journalist but I was in love with someone else so he took my friend instead. She then told me he took her backstage at the REM concert and into the interview he had with Stipe.

The second time I was heading to NYC on a work trip with a bunch of people. I was flirting with someone in the group but he was a smoker. He asked me to go with him to the smoking lounge at Heathrow (smoking on aeroplanes had been banned by then but before the public ban). I said no because I didn't want to stink of smoke for the whole journey. He was gone for a long time and we were all beginning to worry he would miss the flight. Then he wanders back with tales of chatting with Stipe. We didn't believe him until we disembarked and Stipe gave him a wave.

Costa Blanca Spain...

Most (if not all) the ones I have met over the years have been nice.

I used to bump into Frank Carson quite a lot and he was just hysterical, I think his whole life was just a stand-up routine (but in a nice way)

I remember when Smokie( before they were famous) used to do gigs in my local pub and occasionally we would go to a disco club together later, nice bunch of lads.

I met Les Dawson a couple of times and the one memory I have is when a friend of his (who'd had a few drinks) talked me into driving him round to Les's house in St Annes. Les wasn't really happy to see this guy but he (and his 1st wife Meg) were wonderful to me on the night, and I've never forgotten it.

I also did a TV show with Marti Caine not long before she died. She really was the most wonderful woman, we had so many laughs and I admit to shedding a tear when I heard she had died.

Lennie Bennett was another one I used to see quite a lot of, and again another nice guy who died way too young.

More recently bumped into Sir Alex Ferguson and managed to get him to pose for a pic. The security guys with him were not happy, but he just smiled and stood there for half a minute while my daughter and stepson hit the buttons like a paparazzi pack.

We also know a very famous German TV actor who goes to one of the swinger clubs we go to, but we would never "out him"

Oh that reminds me of another. Saw Phil Mitchell (well whoever plays him) at Glastonbury and while he was clearly trying to be incognito in shades and a baseball cap the torrent of abuse that some poor soul received for approaching him was way over the top. Pretty pathetic really as that drew far more attention to him.

Other glastonbury spots include Michael Eavis who was posing for pictures and shaking hands with everyone who approached him and clearly revelling in others enjoyment of his festival.

I've met a few, mostly from the sporting worlds of biking and cricket, and they all seemed aok. Most of the biking ones are smaller than I expect & the cricketers much taller, oddly enough.

However, does anyone else have my knack for not knowing famous people? I've been in a club in the states & a couple came in with security etc, they cleared the dance floor for them to give an impressive exhibition- only thing was everyone in there knew who they were- except me, I hadn't got a clue, and someehow it was too embarrassing to ask anyone. Looked at photos after & the bloke may have been Patrick Swayze, not sure about the girl. Last year I met someone from a rock band, very friendly guy, again everyone else knew him, from a pretty well established band, and has a nice Merc AMG SL63 too.

I worked in London a lot in the past and I stayed above a pub in a trendy part in the early noughties. It was close to some recording studio and there was the odd pop act got in.

Never really spoke to any in truth but Damon Albarn was not well liked and he did seem rather obnoxious, from what I seen.

Atomic Kitten came in a few times and seemed to be just a normal bunch of girls. Actors Will Mellor and Ray Winstone were also quite regular and both were happy go lucky types and down to earth.

I reckon I'm one of the few people that will recognise 2 of them! On a similar vein, Darryl Webster, nutty as a fruitcake but top bloke and Stuart Dangerfield - humility personified would rather talk about my very mediocre PB's than anything he ever achieved and was always the last to leave any local events as he was inevitably chatting to all the local riders about their performances.

I forgot about Stevie Wonder!

Was totally unexpected, was at Bestival, my friends wanted to leave I was like I want to watch Stevie can we head back to reality afterwards, anyways half way through his set we left, I had the hump.

We got to the ferry port, the ferry was delayed by 15 mins so I'm sitting on a ferry thinking I could of seen the whole set, Next thing there is disturbance on the ferry, lots of people going to the other side, a sort of buzz about the place....

I've wondered over to see what's happening. Stevie wonder has only gone and rocked up on the ferry!!!

Next thing a queue appears of people queuing up for photos to meet the guy etc, Was funny a few times he faced the wrong way and I think it was his wife who had to tell him to move/face left, he made jokes about this.

After a while his entourage, put a stop to the que, It was massive. They where very nice about it and he was such a lovely guy

was a great ending to an amazing weekend

I've been lucky (and sometimes unlucky) enough to meet a few celebs over the years - Telly Savalas when I was really young - lovely bloke and he gave me a lollipop, I had a long conversation with David Bowie at a Pogues after-gig party - nice bloke, but it was really weird calling him Dave. I couldn't get the Only Fools thing out of my head. And I was in a Jam video - Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler were really nice, but Paul Weller was a total tosspot "I'm a popstar, stay away from me" type. Might just have been a bad day

My dad used to work for Michael Caine, and stayed in the "helps wing" of his house, I used to help my dad out a bit while earning some pocket money. He was a genuinely nice bloke and him and shakira looked after me after blacking out on a hot day digging a large pond in his garden.

On another day he had Sean Connery and roger Moore there for a weekend who I was introduced too as he knew I was a huge bond fan ... Totally blew my mind !

"met david beckham julian dicks lightning from gladiators all come to mind very nice people "

Have to say the same about Beckham. Used to see him a lot out doing the food shop and he was never anything other than polite and courteous to people asking for photos and autographs.

Funniest thing was when he used to do his kids clothes range in MandS and there were cardboard cut-outs of him all over the store.

He was in the food queue in front of me and there was a woman and a little boy at the next till. She kept saying to her son 'Look theres David Beckham' and he was looking at the cut-outs.

When he turned round and saw the real one his face was an absolute picture and Beckham was killing himself laughing.

Everywhere and nowhere baby

David Beckham. Mr delivered to him and Beckham wanted to get out of his house without the press spotting him. Mr said get in the back of my van, so he did and Mr drove him outside. Dunno where he went, called a cab I think.

David Copperfield in Vegas...he was pleasant... I found myself annoyingly starstruck. I'd never have thought I'd get like that. I do regret missing his show.

That's pretty much it.

I was sat waiting to be seated in a quiet Chinese restaurant in Windermere last year when I spotted Duncan Bannatyne sat there finishing off a meal with three of his kids. I really wanted my photo taken with him so waited and waited until I knew I wouldn't be disturbing him and his family. He was sat there talking and tweeting about x-factor.

When he was about to get up and leave I went over and said "excuse me, i've been waiting until you finished your meal, i'm a big fan would I be able to have my photo taken with you?"

He looked at me and said "sorry no, it's not an appropriate time" and then I apologised and scuttled off back to my seat mortified. It's all I could think of and I couldn't taste my meal after that. As I was sitting down I heard his daughter say "awww you should have done dad!"

As he was leaving he tapped me on the shoulder, leaned in and said "enjoy the rest of your meal."

Not me but a couple of ex's of mine.

One met Chris Tarrant who was obnoxious and the other met Marvin Gaye who was rude to her.

Either says something about the celebs or the sort of women I go for!

I also met Jarvis Cocker at Heathrow airport. He was walking through terminal 4 juggling three oranges! I saw him sit down with a friend so I went over and asked if I could have my photo taken with him and he was very nice and we chatted for a little while. He was on his way to Toronto to play a gig.

Chris Tarrant is a knob, a mate used to live next door but one to him, amount of times Chris's dog Bimbo would escape the garden run down road chasing my mates cats was unbelievable, my mate used to take Bimbo home explain what happened tell him to get the hole in the fence fixed, he never did....

Also his nanny drove a beat up old Fiesta!

The Princess Royal, she was president of organisation I worked for.

Indirectly Ashley Walters was a pain: I bought the house he lived in. For the first year groups of girls would come knocking on my door to speak to Ashley!

I did the signwriting for the scales used in the Lennox Lewis v Frank Bruno fight at Cardiff Arms Park/Millenium Stadium.

Designed Cardiff Citys club crest (not the current) so have met all the players and managers for last 10 years or so whilst doing work for them.

Same for Cricketer's cars, most famous being Matthew maynard.

Play against and with ex pro's (cricket)

Few others too but mostly sport

Princess Anne, when I was little, she was lovely, guess she had to be I was a brownie. Ricky Tomlinson and Ricky hat ton at a charity do. Tomlinson was a bit of a d*unken ass! Hatton was lovely. Colleen Rooney, in pets at home she's tiny, and was really down to earth in her uggs n tracky, pleasant girl. Peter Kay bickering with his mrs in the local aquarium. He was giddy and loud!

Went to a charity do in Brighton, some of the England cricket lads where there, no idea who was who all very d*unk and just being lads.

Shared a taxi home with erm one of the Krays twins descendants. No idea who it was! I was a little worse for wear.

My other half at the time, got a little edgy when I asked him for half the fare
