Ok love him or hate him you cant deny MJ was a huge music icon ! But which of his songs were the most iconic ??

For me it has to be Billie Jean ! The beat and bassline at the beginning instantly recognisable !

Not a MJ song, however, Jackson Five's Blame It On the Boogie is one of my favourite feel good songs.

Not a massive Mj fan but do enjoy the early disco classics ABC and blame it on the boogie.... Ok I'll admit to trying to learn the thriller dance too

It shows just how talented the man was when you could realistically name around 10 songs that could be considered his 'signature'.

I think I'm due for an eye test... I read that as 'ironic' and was going to put 'Black or White' DOH!

Iconic? I think that has to be Thriller because of the ground-breaking video that came with it.

if it is the Jackson 5... there "who's loving you?" is the one for me...

If it is Jackson on his own... the it have to be "Thriller"..... he was the first one to turn the music video into almost a cinematic piece....

I love the Michael Jackson Off the Wall album and there are many MJ songs I love. My list includes:

Off the wall

Rock with you

Dont stop til you get enough

Thriller

Bllie Jean

Human Nature

You are not alone

Smooth criminal

All of these I feel are iconic MJ songs.

One of the later songs that I love is Stranger in Moscow but that wouldnt be an iconic song

Interestingly, its long been something of a videogaming legend that Michael Jackson supposedly wrote a few of the tracks for the old Sega Megadrive game Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (notably the Hydrocity and end credits themes, the latter of which sounds INCREDIBLY like Stranger in Moscow), but for legal/creative reasons wasn't part of the project for long. Even with the limited sound hardware of the time, the games soundtrack holds up very well, and makes you wonder if he really was involved with it?

Gone too Soon....

It has a very special and deeply emotional meaning to me...I chose some of the lyrics from it as a tribute to my late son. This was before all of the scandal surrounding Jackson broke out.

"Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight

Here one day....gone one night"

As a proud owner ( amongst may ) of Thriller on vinyl, it was the soundtrack of my teens. Beat it, my favourite, but off the wall was as good, if not better. lame it on the boogie, is also up there! Thriller will never be outsold.

I'd never heard of that film, so youtubed it and found the cat scene - a gentle song like 'Ben' playing during such a sad scene made it all the more chilling
