...for dudes that are going bald to shave his head?

I ask because I was watching Derren Brown last night. He's done it and my mate did the same thing a few weeks ago.

Thing is, doesn't suit Derren, doesn't suit my mate and I know for a fact it wouldn't suit me.

So...is it compulsory for bald dudes to do it?

I don't know if it's mandatory, but it's a hell of a lot better than a comb over!!!

What are you proposing instead of keeping it short? It's your hair so do what you want with it.

Fortunately I'm not going to go bald I don't think.

Obviously a comb over ain't all that but there's gotta be a third way.

i fekkin hope not.

i have hair half way down my back (on my head, not an actual hairy back) but my fringe starts about 4 inches further back than it once did lol.

im fighting with every fibre of my body, but baldness is coming.

im gonna end up looking like a tall danny devito in twins lol

I dislike a shaved head to try to disguise baldness. A receding hairline is normal and should be seen as such.

Over in the good old US of A they don't think there's anything wrong with wearing a rug

I'm bald and I shave my head every day. Actually I've been doing it for 20yrs now. I couldn't wear a rug and couldn't have a comb over.

It was made popular by Yul Brynner, Telly Savalas and Lou Gossett Jnr.

I've never been in fashion for so long

Had a teacher back in the day!

Rocked the comb over especially on a windy day !

It stood over a foot tall over the shinny bald patch

Got suspended from school for a week because I couldn't stop laughing at the erect comb over

Derren may not have been well but his hair and removal of goatie beard is a huge improvement lookswise.

I have just googled his images and I agree with you. I didn't recognise him and saw someone much more attractive.

Probably because he had both face and hair stubble and looked unkempt as a result, in one of his bald pics I've seen he's fully shaved his head and has a full goatee beard that actually suits him very well.

personally I think your should go bald with grace. (if there is such a thing) and the only that happens is to accept it.my hair is going and im only 25. so I keep it short or shaved. I personally think it suits me. some people agree other don't. but at the end of the day its not upto them.

I think you need a round head to pull it off, mine is too lumpy!

Just keep it short and trim, no need to go full skinhead.

How can you tell someone has shaved their hair to disguise baldness? Maybe they just shaved their hair?

Baldist!

If you got a round head then shaved look is better and will suit. If you got a longer more elongated face/head it will look ridiculous

Stay strong my bald brothers

You can tell as the shadow lines show where there is hair growth. I love a bald head and that fresh shaved head feeling. It's very soothing stroking a bald head that has just been shaved. A simple pleasure.

I shave mine but am bald friar tuck style if it grows.

As i cant see the back of my head I never noticed until one day i was in waiting in the queue in 7/eleven and looked up at the cctv and thought it strange there was a bald guy in the queue because there was only me but hang on ...... its me and only weeks later having a gang of cheeky young scamps heckle me with "oi baldy, shine yer head mate" and cackling with laughter. God bless em. I did exactly the same as a youth. Karma is a bitch.

I should add it's the male half speaking

Yul Brynner was (is?) pretty lumpy and he got away with it.

A good physique helps.
