Just good friends

There are a few people on here that I have a lot in common with, of those people there are some that I think I could be good friends with, but nothing more, it's not that I don't find them attractive there are various reasons, I'm not what they are looking for or I'm just simply not in their age range I'm not convinced that messaging them and saying "will you be my friend" is the right way to go about things, a lot of people will think I have some kind of hidden agenda, I don't , I just like to surround myself with people I can trust and that understand me any advice?

I don't have any advice but I do know what you mean. There are quite a few people who post here that I reckon I could have a damn good evening out with but we clearly have no sexual connection.

I don't think you necessarily need to do anything. Friendships will develop naturally.
