Are you convinced yet?

Was unsure of a title for this thread, it's not a rant but it may seem that way to some. Wasn't sure if I'd already covered it to be honest.

Have seen many other threads with people, men mainly (but not exclusively) using the term "convincing" with regards to TS/TV people. Usually a variation of the phrase "I want to meet one, but only if they are convincing". Most recently I saw this on the feedback forum on a thread about splitting the category TS from TV/CD, and you can see my response to the idea there.

But that term really bugs me when used about us. When someone uses it all it says to me is that you're having trouble pulling a woman, and think that a TS/TV will be less effort and as long as your brain can be convinced it's a woman you're sticking your cock into then it's not gay. No siree bob, not gay at all. Uh-hu. If YOU need convincing that a TV and particularly a TS, is actually a woman, then you need to take a real good look at your motives for being with one. Because the real classification for a m-f transexual is Female. It's separated on here so that people know what they're getting. If you want a woman with a dick then that suggests to me you want that dick for a purpose. The TS doesn't want the dick so why do you?

I know quite a few m-f transexuals, have supported one through her transition so am pretty sure I have a handle on such things, and I'm sure if someone were to say something like "wow you're really convincing" or "Yes I'll go out with you because you're convincing" then they'd be pretty upset. They're not doing it to convince anyone, they're doing it because they were born wrong and are trying to change that. I dare say there are some who would be flattered, but I fail to see why. They are probably in the early stages of finding themselves and see it as a compliment on their efforts.

I'll not deny that there are TS who, and you'll have seen the type in porn, are somewhat gender dysphoric, want the figure/tits etc but who either have no intention of getting rid of the dick. Or are working to pay for it if the NHS won't. These girls are generally always glamorous and what I believe people really want whenever I hear the term "convincing" used.

Then there's people like me. I'll not even convince a blind man. I'm too tall and too broad shouldered. And again I'm not trying to convince anyone, that's not what it's about at all. I think I look better like this than as a guy, and I could do a whole other thread on that! It started many years ago as a sexual fetish, mere crossdressing, but has now developed into a compulsion. Something I spend a lot of time effort and money doing. Yes I still like doing the sex while dressed. But that's only a small part of it. I'm saying all this because I've had meets where the guy has changed his mind because on meeting me he couldn't be "convinced" I was a woman. Really? Which bit of my profile made you think I would convince you? Perhaps my large cock and balls got in the way? My response to this is "That's ok, you weren't convincing me you were a man either".

So is there any chance of people dropping that word? I doubt it, the preference defence will now leap to the fore. I'm just saying I find it rather offensive. Please feel free to discuss, ignore, pull me up on any horrible generalisations I may have made, jump down my throat etc. Just something I had to write down.

I actually changed the section of my profile that said I'm interested in convincing T-girls following a previous post you made on this subject, because I realised I didn't mean what I'd said.

So you made me think about it and realise a change was required.

As for TS ladies, (and gents), I've been quite vociferous on threads about TS people so I'll not labour the point here.

I, too, have TS friends and feel very strongly about many aspects of how TS people are regarded and treated.

Further, I am in general very much against anyone being regarded as or treated as a fetish object, or any sort of object or tick box exercise, rather than as a person.

For me, a "proper" TV is someone who has put the effort in. Such as waxing, make up, etc

I think when people are looking for a convincing TV, they really mean, they don't want a HPW.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It's definitely not a rant but a reasoned argument.

The presentation on television and in porn of the very feminised TS/TV has some part in this, as it does with the expectation that sex will be like it is in the movies. That presentation allows people to feel this is acceptable* as a kink until faced with a real person who doesn't look like the version on the television/computer screen.

The challenge is to get people to accept other people the way they are. It's not that hard.

*Of course it is acceptable but I am talking about conditioned and personal acceptance, and a positive choice for some.

HPW? Why is the 'effort' waxing, make up etc.? I don't wax and I don't always wear make up.

There is a difference between a convincing TV and convincing a TV

Ah but you probably would do one if not both when meeting someone from here?

I have an aversion to body hair on people in general, particularly under stockings!

convincing a tv.for what reason?we are what we are because we wish to be,its a reason from birth ,this has now been proved by the very young boy stating hes a girl, and now hes being brought up as a girl, and its not the only case of this.society says when your born,oh your a boy or your a girl, wrong, everyone has a difference about them from birth, some take longer to accept this fact.and unfortunately many get rediculed over it,and if a hpw like to wear a pair of knickers for pleasure,he enjoys it,he doesnt have to have this term convincing, and who do we have to convince?we are what we are.although i do say pictures do look better than real life,as im sure most pose to look there best for a picture.but convincing,no,im me ,and if none like that, not my problem.

Lots of folk on here enjoy experimenting and pushing their boundaries .

With this in mind the term convincing is used as if the tv/ts quite clearly a guy in a dress , it isn't gonna appeal .

Just as a bbw won't apoeal to one who seeks a slim woman .

Or a beer belly won't apoeal to one seeking a toned physique .

However despite preferece one may wanna try any of the above , personality , a pretty face etc.... could change that preference .

And so it may be with a convincing tv/ts .

Just my thoughts and no offence intended .

The only thing I need convincing of is that the sex is going to be awesome, the whole tv/ts/cd thing is confusing to me, maybe I am ignorant, but before you all jump on me (and I would love you to jump on my lol) I have only just got to grips with my own sexuality, I would meet tv/ts/cd if I find them attractive I do get turned on by the thought of the female form with a cock I don't want to offend anyone, but it's certainly not because I can't get a "real" woman, it's just cos I like sex, and I'm lucky enough to be bi sexual

An extremely eloquent and well thought out post. It's not often that I read one that long from top to bottom, unless there are a few gags interspersed.

I agree with what you say about TG.

Personally, whenever anyone asks me if I'm convincing, I tell them I've got about 50 pics up, so you tell me....

LUTTERWORTH

I was involved in the tv world and I embraced all girls and what they want, desire, as a friend and mentor. Gave help and advice when asked. Not all tv's or cross dressers are bi sexual. They just like or need to dress in womens clothes

A very well written post . Hope it helps others to understand
