Hands up if you've ever worked Christmas Day.

I did for a while in my early 20s when I worked in catering. I actually enjoyed it.

Anyone else work it or have in the past?

I have worked and will be working this year again. Luckily for me I work in an area where Christmas is the best time of year for them.

I've worked 5 of the last 6 Xmas days...this year will probably make it 6 out of 7. Had last year off but being a sad single now, felt like I was at a little bit of a loose end.

Yep, my team are great though we always make it fun, I'm off this year but they're working and two of the girls are doing a buffet, everyone's wearing a Xmas jumper for a small donation to the firm's nominated charity, secret santa, Raffle etc

I was like that, my day off actually falls on xmas day this year, but my big two have grown up now and doing their own thing and my youngest is at her dads si I thought fuck it i'll offer to work seeing as its triple time

im not religious so Christmas has never been a big deal for me, to be honest its just another day so may as well make some extra money while its on offer

I'm supposed to be off (we're closed), but will probably stick my head round the door anyway, if only to feed the stray cat in the yard.

I cant remember not working at all on christmas day. I usually volounteer to do christmas morning so those with kids can see their kids open xmas pressies. The only special ish day im off this year is boxing day although I finish early on nye and start late on new years day so can still enjoy nye night. X
