Tie a piece of string to it, attach it to a door and get someone to slam the door.

South Coast

Hold your hand on your face to warm the area and sleep propped up - advice given by a dentist and it helped me

Central

Subject to any allergies to meds, and the cause of the pain, you could use a selection of pain killers that work in different ways. Some are anti-inflammatory, such as ibuprofen, which could lessen some swelling, causing pain. Others may just reduce your feelings of pain. You can mix ibuprofen and paracetamol for example, as they work in different ways. Dont over use the latter, due to potential liver damage though. If you have any debriding solution, that may wash out anything that is inflaming it. Cloves can be good tho are an acquired taste. Hope you get some relief and rest.

I quite like cloves- and they work. Swilling with scotch, or warm salty water (urgh) may also help.

Hugs- I know the privet misery that is tootache1
