Love triangle?

They say going out with a mates ex or even sleeping/kissing them is hard to forgive and a no go area. Yet you hear about them getting together and everyone concerned is very happy for each other and still get along and I was wondering how can people do this. Is it because they are more grown up about it than the others? Does it depend on how/when the relationship broke up?

I think each case is an individual one, with all sorts of variables.

Some people get on great with it, but with others there are serious ructions and cancelations of Christmas cards and so on

It's nothing to do with how grown up people are at all. I'd say it has more to do with values and your outlook on life.

I would never even contemplate it but I 'had' two friends where one had an affair with the others husband and is now married to him. Split up families, lost friendships, destruction of property, public slanging matches, endless gossip, difficult village life oh and not forgetting being played out on Face Ache

Some things are best kept at an arms length!

It really does depend on what happened, when it happened and what each of those people want to keep and value in their individual relationships with each other. It's easier if there was no betrayal involved.

It doesn't have to be the end of the world.

I know that what tends to happen, but that's when they are together though. I was just wondering in what circumstances can it work?

How does polyamory/polygamy/polyandry work? It does for some and it doesn't for others.
