Nelson Mandela is watching TV when he hears a knock at the door.

He opens it to be confronted by a small Chimese man clutching a clipboard and yelling, "You sign! You sign!"

Behind him is a truck loaded with car parts.

"But I didn't order this," Mandela says.

The Chinese man looks puzzled. "You not Nissan Main Dealer?"

Back in the day, a 'joke' in poor taste would circulate by word of mouth amongst a few friends.

Now it's across the internet and around the world in minutes and the media are searching for the originator so they can vilify him/ her.

I think part of it is a way of dealing with loss. Even when family members die we make jokes about how they'll be looking down/up at us etc

Its not a bad thing to have some humour at Times like this. It just has to be well placed and thought through.

There's a bit of a difference in talking about family members and remembering them in a fond way to asking for jokes in a public forum, but that's just my opinion obviously!!

Take a look on sickipedia, there's hundreds of them.

Here's a small sample:

After a state funeral, Nelson Mandela will be cremated at a private ceremony.

This will be done by placing a tyre round his neck, filling it with petrol...

It's a good job that Nelson Mandela was imprisoned back then instead of now.

I can't imagine he'd be such an inspirational figure if he just had a 3 month suspended sentence with 80 hours of community service
