I bet a few fellow forumers have been on holiday to Hemsby, I was brought up close to Hemsby so have happy memories.

After the tidal surge last night, 5 homes fell into the sea. Constant battering of the cliffs is putting the main tourist area in danger, the community and businesses are working to put in sea defenses using their own cash.

Surely the government need to step in and protect communities like Hemsby for future generations and the economy, thousands holiday at Hemsby every summer, the place is rammed.

Was there at Easter and loved the place.

You are quiet right though, the bloody state should be paying for flood defence as well as the local water company.
