Now what I am about to post will be considered controversial by many inc those listed above.

The problem is there are so many variations, overlaps and grey areas it's not possible to cover all, that would take a book. However what I have tried to do is clear up a few things with regards to the various differences between those groups and what I believe is broadly the case the majority of the time.

The whole subject of gender identity and what is often labeled as T/girls is shrouded in controversy, misunderstanding and down right wrong assumptions and it is not my intention to add to those.

Remember the following is more shall we say a "lay mans terms" And my intention is to help give those interested an insight into the world of trans and to hopefully help clear up at least some confusion that exists in the world.

What i am about to write is not cast in stone and many will have different views on the subject and what I will post. Nothing wrong with differences of opinion and debate is good. I also don't wish to upset any who many fall into one of the factions so please do not think that is my intention or desire. Thank you.

OK deep breath here goes,

For me, Tgirl is a generic term that applies to any number of activities related to dressing. If pressed to define labels, I would go with:

Crossdresser (CD) - Dresses in one article to full outfits of women's clothing without shaving or using make-up or styling hair or adopting mannerisms that are considered feminine. Dressing is more a sexual fetish than anything else.

Transvestite (TV) - Dresses in full outfits, shaves, uses make-up, styles hair, may adopt feminine mannerisms, but does not take hormones or have any surgeries to look more feminine. Does not dress full time as a woman. Dressing can be a sexual turn on or not, depending on the person. Sexual preference (again depending on the person) can run a wide variety from only being attracted to women (while dressed or not), being attracted to women and Tgirls (while dressed or not), being attracted to women and Tgirls (when not dressed) and men (only when dressed).

Transsexual (TS) – Often dresses full time. Often lives full time as a woman. Can either take hormones or not and have surgeries or not. Dressing is not a sexual turn on. Can be attracted to men and genetic females or even other transsexuals. In my mind, all transexuals start the path to SRS, but some stop short because they value their original equipment too much.

Shemale is a term invented by the porn industry to describe transsexuals who earn their living from the fact they are transexuals. Most will be on hormones and will have had not only breast implants but face feminisation surgery as well as other parts of their bodies. They retain their penis which is often fully functional therefore they are able to have penetrative sex with either females or males.

Ladyboy is a term invented by the sex trade in Thailand to describe transsexuals working in the sex trade.

Thank you I do hope the above helps.

Oh brilliant sweetheart!!

I totally concur with your thinking on this one. I'm the same about homosexuality/gay/queer, and the modern term of "men who have sex with men" or (mesmen). Someone could write one just on the continuum of being gay lol.

& then we really could do with one about bisexual men, they are another continuum that even a lot of us "real" homosexuals do not understand. Do they have "proper" ie loving relationships with a female and just use another man for sex, or some of them do have loving relationships with either, or they use "bisexuality" as a kind of 1/2 way stop and after a bit more experience they realise they are actually gay?

Aye, the world of human sexuality. Now who is after a gang-bang PMSL.

I think the "male in a frock" is a bit unfair, as we don't pre-judge women in trousers, its all about social acceptability

If someone get a kick out of dressing up and isn't hurting anyone, then thats ok, if they make a full on lifestyle choice, fair play, live and let live.

A lot of the TV's & TS's you see are stunning and I reckon any guy, in the right situation, would be turned on or would play.

I bet there isn't a guy on here who hasn't searched and viewed shemale's online.

But I could be wrong

srs - sex reassignment surgery

after surgery either male or female, I believe they are given a new sort of birth certificate and are then legally recognised as the opposite sex.

I really have to laugh at "swinging" websites. On the one hand in the forums folk say that each to their own etc, and we should all stick together as it were and then we start having fights. Its totally schizoid.

If it had not been for the drag Queens and lesbians in Greenwich village when the Stonewall pub in New York got raided, bisexual men would never have had the gonads to start living their own lives.

We either stick together, or we die alone sad and miserable x.

Then Jane you know less about the male mind than you think, the stat is 1 in 3 guys have gay/bi tendencies or fantasies, more are intrigued and want to explore.

Ask any TS or TV on here how many "straight" men approach them, its all about fooling their minds, "I'm with a woman, I'm with a woman" but "I want to play with a cock and convince myself I'm not gay or bi"

And before you ask, I don't need to fool my mind, I'm bi and love it and love attractive people (not necessarily good looking, different thing)

Be they female, male or TV/TS

Well, well well. Although I expected a few differences in view and opinions to my post I never expected such controversy. I also never expected some would come on here and comment with little or no understanding of the subject in a down right rude way. Then title bigot comes to mind. but hey but it takes all kinds I guess and i'm trying hard to be tolerant.

Thank you to those who have replied in a sensible considered way no matter if you support what I said or not. At least you show manners and understanding

I will just add that I get lots of post fro couples and single guys who say they are straight on their profiles when quite clearly one or other are not. Now I don't have any problem with that but I do find it a shame that on a site like this people can't be dare I say "straight" on their profile probably they don'tr wish their swinging friends to know.

Just as shame some can't be open for one reason or another.

Think you are so wrong on this. I for 1 have never searched for shemales online or any other place.

Also how many straight men do not approach a Ts or Tv? I'd wager it is a far higher number than those that do.

I'm sorry but when you started this thread you surely never expected everyone to fall into line with you did you?

These are general discussion forums, you will get differing views on subjects and maybe you should think about that before starting a thread then acting like you are shocked when one person makes a small comment?

I don't agree with the 'biguys in a frock' statement but I hardly found it to be bigotted in any way, a local Gay club to me holds 'Cocks in Frocks' clubnights.....would you find that offensive?

I think if you think I expected people to fall into line with what I have written you need to go back and reread what I wrote before I went into the definitions I put up. I clearly stated otherwise. Nothing wrong with "cocks in frocks nights either" How many TS would go to it is debatable. However to suggest all are just men in skirt or other shows IMO no real understanding.

Thanks

yay thurday fight started i knew i would win!!

apart from that katy i think its an excellent post and clears up a few points even i was unsure about.

my aunty henry was a man but lived in full womans clothing jewellery shoes etc this was in the 70s when it wasnt the done thing but the amount of so called "men" that knocked on his door was unreal. in those days surgery etc was never an option.

i got into many a fight with people over it when i was a kid but he gave me the ability to accept people as they are and also showed me how to put on make up and do my hair durin those awkward teenage years.

tolerance is a beautiful thing xx

My comment was not in connection with your generalised definitions... it was the later post regarding people saying they are straight when they are not.

I have a question for you (bare with me it comes in several parts).

Part 1: Let's say there is a female who does not fancy other women, certainly doesn't want a relationship with another woman and has no desire to put her tongue into another woman's crotch... is she straight, bi or gay?

"Errmm straight Polo?"

I would agree with you... and have argued that I am straight for years. But people seem to insist I am bi just because when I am sexually aroused by a guy, several guys or a situation … I really don't care if a woman plays with me. In fact I find the situation (not the female) quite a huge mental buzz and actively seek it.

I am certainly not curious about trying a woman.

So I end up with Bi on my profile to stop the people who know me and know what I do saying "straight, who are you kidding".

I know my own sexuality and I am not in denial of anything. I am straight. But on a site where I have 3 options to choose from... I kind of get stuck with bi as being the most apt.

"Now what I am about to post will be considered controversial by many inc those listed above.

Katie x

"

in general terms what you say is about right as far as generalisations go

but there are forums like this on the many " tranny " sites that are around

and even on those sites that are populated almost exclusively by CD /TV /TS etc , there seems very little agreement as to who falls in one pidgeon hole or another

so the grey area you mention seems to fill about 90 percent of the spectrum

and it is the TV/CD comunity themselves that have decided for it to be thus so

it can all get a bit farcical , i can remember having a discussion with the owner of a tranny site that still insists to this day that if a man wears a pair of stockings while playing with his wife in bed then he is(transgendered )

this term would also apply to a man that wore tights under his trousers to go fishing in the cold weather

and even if a man at a wedding put aunty ethels hat on for a moment , to take a silly photo he is also (transgendered)

it would be usefull on a site like this where the TV / CD comunity is in the minority to have explanations like a TV is full time dressed and a CD part time

but if the TV/CD etc cant agree amongst themsevses who is what etc then im not sure it would work

probably the best way foward is to treat everyone as individuals , and read there profile to see what there likes and disslikes are

During my wee break from the forums i spent many a night viewing profiles which included TV/CD profiles and i must say a fair few of them really do put a lot of effort into making themselves look convincing. Looking at their pics you would think they are female and the wow factor was there and it did turn me on.

Keep up the good work girls.

I thought this reply was the most insightful thing on here. The dictionary defines bisexuality as having a physical or romantic ATTRACTION to both sexes. Which means you don't need to be bi to actually enjoy sex with both, a guy can enjoy receiving anal sex or sucking cock, a woman can enjoy licking pussy, but it's only if they choose a same sex partner based on their looks/personality that they can be called bi. If you're a woman who JUST likes the pussy licking skills of another woman or you're a guy who JUST wants a big cock in your arse, but you're both attracted to the opposite sex only, then you're both straight

srs - sex reassignment surgery

after surgery either male or female, I believe they are given a new sort of birth certificate and are then legally recognised as the opposite sex.

Yes I do believe it. There's not a guy on this planet I have ever looked at and 'fancied' no matter how perfect a specimen he is, but I have ventured down the road of anal exploration (both directions) and i can certainly appreciate a big cock, but if a guy touched me in any 'other' way I'd kick him in the nuts

Homosexual act? You've pretty much defined it yourself there with the word ACT, although I could say that it would be between two guys only. Would this 'act' still be homosexual if a guy performed it on me while I performed on a woman?

We get messages from TV's/TS's etc from time to time- they're always, without exception, polite, and as it's not something that we're looking for on our profile they're usually chatty - like - hi there, like your pics etc or asking about clubs we've been to! Well for one thing I know better than anyone else here WHAT i am, and to say 'at least' is rather stupid when I have stated that there is no way I would ever 'fancy' a guy.

To say 'at least' suggests I might even be pushing on 'gay', and nobody (least of all the women that know me) could ever accuse me of being gay.

I think you misunderstood something from that earlier post.

No, I didn't and I can assure you, my opinion is not stupid at all. It as valid as yours is.

You said you like a big cock to do anal with and to give anal...there was nothing to misunderstand. You have some sort of sex with a person of the same sex.

By your own definition, a person who is gay or bi HAS to fancy a person and if you don't fancy them, you can still have anal sex with them and be straight? I still think you are in denial.

....and yes it is confusing for anyone who thinks in such a binary way (black or white, yes or no). If I met a woman who wanted to see me get it on with a guy then I'd consider it a 'bonus', but if she didn't like it then I'd happily forget all about it. Does that clear it up? Nothing would stop me from getting together with a woman I liked

"....and yes it is confusing for anyone who thinks in such a binary way (black or white, yes or no). If I met a woman who wanted to see me get it on with a guy then I'd consider it a 'bonus', but if she didn't like it then I'd happily forget all about it. Does that clear it up? Nothing would stop me from getting together with a woman I liked "

No.

All I see is you saying if you don't fancy a person but have any form of sex with them, then it doesn't count.

For me, straight is having sex with people of the opposite sex.

Bi is having sex with both sex's

Gay is having sex with someone of the same sex.

I am not sure which category "if I have sex with someone I don't fancy " comes into.

Is this a bit like if I eat a roast potatoe off someone else's plate I don't have to count it in my diet?

( not off HPC's plate as she would stab me with her fork )

Sexuality isn't a set of a few boxes, it's a continuum with heterosexual at one end and homosexual at the other.

Hetro------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Homo

If you sit at either extreme it’s easy to define what you are and it is very black and white... and to some extent also if you sit slap bang in the middle it's fairly clear if you sit slap bang in the middle. However, whilst I am sure everything seems very clear cut from those points, there’s a massive space between all 3 points and if you are not floating about in one of those spaces it may be difficult to identify with the views of people who are there.

hmm yes i agree with the definitions given there , however its far from me to impose it on other folk , quite frankly whatever other people enjoy sexually is their business im no here to judge lol so if you like cock but are staright then fair enough could call that barry or george or whatever you want lol as long as you happy dont think it matters , im more interested in the tv/cd thing to me its very very interesting , not on the sexual side just evry other way lol and i have to say i think the op has made clear some very important things for an idiot like me and this has been one of the most interesting and truely educational things for me on here

Well there you have it then, I can see the problem. I think many gays, and maybe bi people, would be offended by such simplistic definitions. Surely gay people would say it's about love? I could only ever LOVE a woman, so I'm straight.

I have known a few bi girls who had sex with me one night, and then sex with a girl another night, so by your definition they were straight, then gay

You know I have been asked that sooo many times by ladies inc a few in the gay village in Manchester. If I had such I might be able to answer that question. However I have replied I will swap mine for your breasts and all say something like I wish lol. I have even been complimented on my arse and I quite like the feel of some sexy lady stroking it esp through a tight skirt

Right can i simplify things

man/woman, woman/man = straight

man/man, woman/woman = homosexual

man/ man or woman = bi sexual

woman/woman or man = bi sexual

CD's TV's and TS's will fit into what ever category

"after surgery either male or female, I believe they are given a new sort of birth certificate and are then legally recognised as the opposite sex.

"

That's a whole new area that needs to be addressed isn't it. What makes a man a man, or a woman a woman?

I think it shows a sad lacking of understanding by the authorities that they will only allow a person to officially change their sex post-SRS when most, if not all transexuals have long regarded themselves as members of the opposite sex to which they born. In their minds they have been men living as women, or vice versa, all their lives.

I think a true open mind needs to be adopted with regards to gender stereotyping and that anybody, regardless of whether they've had SRS or not, should be able to switch gender identities if that's how they feel they want to live. It is a huge step for anyone to take and I don't think such an open system would be greatly abused.

With regards to TS/TV/CDs as described by the OP (great post btw), I am fully bi and it wasn't something that crept up on me, I knew a long long time before ever playing with a man that I wanted to but I supressed it as none of my old circle of friends and certain members of my family would have accepted me being open about it. I still hide it from them to this day, it just feels easier to supress it. Meeting Siren was like a breath of fresh air blasting over me. She stated quite early on in our relationship that two men together turned her on big time and for me it felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Finally I could be open with someone dear to me about who and what I am, and so that led us to exploring this side of my sexuality that I hadn't been able to before. I found that the type of men I like are manly men, with body hair and not effiminate in any way at all (not Bears or Biker types though lol). I also like convincing TS girls, ones that truly look like women but still have a working penis. I'm not turned on at all by men dressed as women with 6 o'clock shadows, I'd much rather they were openly bisexual as men, but I'm not judging them, it's how they've found they can live their lives as best they can so good for them. One other thing that really gets my attention is being gangbanged by a group of gay men. I know Siren would love to see this and in part that what turns me on the most, knowing she's enjoying it as much as I am.

Human sexuality is a minefield at best and I think we've still got a ways to go before people are accepted by the content of their character and not the public persona you see before you.

"I will just add that I get lots of post fro couples and single guys who say they are straight on their profiles when quite clearly one or other are not. Now I don't have any problem with that but I do find it a shame that on a site like this people can't be dare I say "straight" on their profile probably they don'tr wish their swinging friends to know.

Just as shame some can't be open for one reason or another.

Katie x "

Just to clarify that scenario. If you check our profile it says I am straight. But I'm not am I, I just said so in the post above. So why say I'm straight on our profile?

Again, if you read the post above about not telling my offline family and friends, and then understand that even non-swingers visit these websites, and it's that hard to put two and two together and realise that my offline friends would soon find out about my sexuality if they stumble across our profile (which has happened but the guy promised to keep it to himself as he has the same dilemma).

It's not just about being open with it in the company of fellow swingers, as swingers aren't the only people who look at these sites. I have children to consider and I wouldn't want any bigot who finds out I like guys to start spreading their bile around town until my daughter gets the piss ripped out of her for having a 'poofter' dad. I'm not saying that it will happen, I'm saying that it won't because I'll make sure nobody knows except those I trust explicitly. (And that's also the reason we don't show our faces on any profile anywhere on the web.)

"thanks i find that very informative im a bit of a simple soul and really dont have any idea about this , i dont mind it either think sits brave actually to do it . although i do have one question and pardon my naievity on it , whats srs ??? and what are folk who have had everything so to speak ? like no male parts hormones dress as a women or guy or whtever full time ? srry im a thick shit when it comes to this stuff

srs - sex reassignment surgery

after surgery either male or female, I believe they are given a new sort of birth certificate and are then legally recognised as the opposite sex.

xAx"

my understanding is that they do not get a new birth certificate as that is a legal document given to them at birth, whatever sex they were born as will be with them for life. Whether they are male to female or female to male, they still have to use the toilet that belongs, so to speak to what they were born as not what they have become.

A person that desires to be the opposite sex is a transexual though like has been said, some do keep bits of their original "parts" ie cock or pussy, only because some prefer to, but constructing a working cock is difficult. Not sure a pussy is that easy either though it can be done but will never have the sensations women have.

Personally ive no problem with whatever a man or women wants, lifestyle, its their choice but ive no desire to date anyone that either dresses as the opposite sex nor wishes to be the opposite sex though im partial to stockings and suspenders on a man

I think its a brilliant thought provoking post but you will always get a variety of responses what ever the subject matter is as there will always be people who truly dont understand as well as those that dont like it and prejudge without any knowledge or understanding. Personally as ive said below, ive no objection to anyones lifestyle preference, its just not for me.

I think maybe you are just splitting hairs now and trying to twist things.

Gay sex , bi sex or straight sex doesn't have to include love otherwise we wouldn't all be on a NSA sex site.......so I am sure I won't have offended any gays with the definition I gave.

The definitions I quoted can be found anywhere on the net.......if you don't want to fit in one of them thats up to you..but that won't stop me having my view of what you had written.

At no point did I say a woman/man is gay or straight if she/he has sex with both sex's...but I did say if she/he is having sex with both sex's then I would say she is bi.

The important thing is, enjoy what you are doing and be proud of it.

There is nothing wrong with whatever sexuality people are.... I am just jealous that a lot of people get to be even more greedy than I am because they like sex with both sex's.

A guy who goes with a CD or TV IMO is Bi. However if he goes with a post op TS or one on hormone replacement therapy and heading for SRS Then he can be either. Thats just like any other man maybe Bi or not. There is a BIG difference between a TV and a TS. I am a man and enjoy manly things most of the time where as TSs believe they are a women trapped in the wrong body. If a guy see a TS as a woman with that bit extra so be it doesn't stop him also going with guys who are neither TV or TS as well.

Modern surgery techniques are so good not only can a surgeon create a convincing pussy they can also created a sensitive clitoris. (sometimes a second op is required to make the Virgina more life like)The result of which many post op TS can indeed experience an orgasm via stimulation either through masturbation or oral sex. Also it is entirely possible for the post Op TS to have an orgasm via sexual intercourse in her Virgina.BTW the clitoris is constructed using the tip of the penis.

On another site we use there is a lady there having been through a sex change. She started a thread welcoming any questions anyone has, and no holds barred on it, and she answered everyone of us nosey buggers.

It was very informative and makes you look at things a different way, especially when she was talking about how her family and friends reacted.

I think someone said something about abirth certificate not being changed to suit, but I am sure she said she has female on her birth certificate now ( I couldd be wrong so I am going to check )

But it is OK if a guy states it as well. It's their personal choice.

Yes someone people don't put they are bi because they can see how ‘some’ people will pigeon hole them and even go as far as thinking if a guy is bi they won't be able to resist bum-raping a straight guy. Such ignorant people may often share the view that all TV’s are ragging puffs in denial… not everyone is open to changing their closeted views of black and white sexuality and they often make huge assumptions based on little information.

Women are just luckier I guess, to generally have more liberty to express their varying and sometimes fluid sexuality. Primarily because of the way men viewed lesbianism throughout history… men being the predominant law makers in history. And also because of the underlying homophobia which exists in our society tends to be about men. It also helps that modern pop culture made a little girl on girl titillation trendy. There’s no shock horror to Madonna lipswapping with Britney… if anything it had a few trousers twitching. But can you imagine the headlines if Tom Jones stuck his tongue into Dizzy Rascals puckered lips?

Sorry it was a quick reply based on the guy actually being, knowing and believing he is bi.

There's a whole different issue between identifying with being bi, just as there is in many men's minds a whole world of difference between letting another guy wank you whilst your wife sits on your face and hooking up with Harry down the gay sauna on a Thursday afternoon to exchange blow-jobs. The first still being a man performing a sexual act on another man, but does that really make the hubby being wanked bi? Some of the wanked hubbies may feel they are bi because they wanted a man to wank them and some may feel they are not bi because ... it was just the sensation of a hand wanking their cock as far as they are concerned.

Thats like saying men or women for that matter are pretending to not notice someone of the same sex playing with them, and if they pretend to not notice, then it doesn't count.

It's not pretending (necessarily) it can be just not being phased by it.

If the guy who let another man wank his cock whilst having his wife sit on his face put that he was bi on his profile... because he's not adverse to the idea of being wanked once in a while in the right situation... what would people assume the 'bi' meant?

I've seen a variety of assumptions posted on this site as to what being a bi male means... everything right up to "they are the biggest HIV risk"... sorry but how the fudgepacket would being wanked by a hand do that?

I can totally understand why a guy in this situation would not want to call himself bi and not identify with being bi… without any hint of denial.

"

If it was me and I dabbled, be it just someone playing with me, and I enjoyed it and wanted to do it again, then I would put bi....but maybe if someone contacted us with a view to playing, then I would let them know what experience or what my bounderies were in a bi situation.

Let's face it, there are varying degrees of everything. Even straight people don't do everything there is to do in sex..the same as bi or gay people.

We have a gay friend who doesn't do anal , he only gives it, but it doesn't mean he is any less gay just because he doesn't enjoy everything there is to offer.

I agree, because I don't believe something as complex as sexuality is defined by a single act or action. It is defined more by what happens in your mind.

theres nothing better than a healthy debate...lmao

we are on another site similar to this one and there is a member on that site that has HIS profile marked as a female, he says HE is a full time t-girl but he also says he hasnt had the op as yet to take away his willy so what im trying to get across if a GUY has a willy and uses that willy for sexual reasons as HE says HE does is HE right in calling himself a female...

Me thinks you assume too much. How do you know he/she uses it to have sex? Myabe he/she does maybe he /she dosent. What matters is the path this person is going down He/she considers him/herself to be her and without knowing her intentions in life its not possible to fully answer or even guess. Perhaps he/she is on hormone replacement therapy, perhaps is afraid of the op (not unreasonable as there can be so many complications and its bloody painful) SRS is a major operation and isn't the easiest of operations to get done. You can't just walk into any hospital pay and have it done. There are so many processes you have to go through. There is also long painful convalescing period. I could go on but I hope you get my drift.

do you put all woman at the end of every message or just this thread???

im glad i know im female but i cannot imagine the torture it must be to feel that you are in the wrong body and have to live with societies opinions of what your doin is queer or abnormal.

i suppose the one you talking about as he doesnt have the female organs or on the hormones or whatever then his sexual pleasure comes from his cock as he doesnt have a vagina.

iv no studied enough psychology yet to find a suitable answer xx

In every man there is a certain amount of fem within so why not the other way round indeed. For the vast majority of time I am all man but unlike many I allow my fem side to come out.

What I do find surprising is that as far as I am aware only one other T/girl has relied to this thread esp give the number who are on fab. Perhaps they don't bother top read the forums or maybe they are afraid of being ridiculed on here. Me I am quite thick skinned and can take most of what comes my way. However it would be good to hear some CDs/TVs?TSs or whatever views on my first post or indeed any other post on this thread.

Now this is where I lose this thread completely as I can honestly say that I have no female urges, or urges to be a female, in me whatsoever. I don't know what 'female instincts' are, whether that's the caring/nurturing side of one's nature or something else. I find I can look after my son on equal par as my wife does but that doesn't mean my feminie side is in play, it's me as a man caring for my offspring.

I am very comfortable being a man, I love being a man, and there's no way on earth I'd ever want that to change, or do anything to bring about such a change. It is who I am. I am male, masculine, and I have all the traits that go with being a man.

Maybe it's just down to genetics, I don't know, but if it is, I'm missing a few that others seem to have, I think. lol

Just bought a new car yesterday, always wanted a Ferrari but couldn’t afford one, so I just stuck some Ferrari badges and a few spoilers on it, does that mean I now own a Ferrari, or is it all just in my head?

All physiological if you ask me, so it’s no surprise some opinions you get you might not agree with or give them any thought, when women get boob jobs they get called fake tits, so its hardly surprising when someone shouts man, when men decide to become women.

Good discussion though, it’s just a shame not many TV/TS/CD have joined the discussion to give their own opinions.

What is it going to achieve?

For what it's worth i agree with the OP as regards the classifications but when all is said and done they are only our opinions. If someone else wants to sneer and call me a bloke in a frock then that's up to them - i won't lose sleep if someone is ignorant or bigoted about my sexuality.

I get enough mails from people so i must be doing something right!

I enjoy being a TV, it's not the whole of my personality nor is it the only way i enjoy sex - it's just another facet that allows me more scope to my sexual fun. If someone doesn't like it they don't have to join in do they?

Well for a start, it might change other peoples views, after all its not something people are taught at school, education often changes ones mind, theres been many replies on here but and one negative one, yet the calls of ignorance and bigotts are being thrown around, please dont let one posters opinion make cloud you're judgement.

"all comes down to the same thing bi male in a frock"

Nowt further from the truth lol

A massive misconception by many people

For example i as most on here know am bi but have no desire whatsoever to dress in women's clothes

The closest i get to this is at fancy dress parties but i do it for a laugh and get nowt from it

The point im making is that there are many TVs that like to dress in women's clothes but have absolutely no desire to sleep with men

I have met tvs over the years in social situations and clubs and very few of them were gay or bi

I know a builder in my vanilla life who wears stockings and suzzies cause he likes too and believe you me he is as straight as i am bi

I feel that by your sweeping stereo typical comment that you have never taken the time to research the subject or actually talk to any TVs

This statement says a lot more than what it actually doesn't say, if you get my meaning.

I sense a real deep rooted fear of not being able to handle something that you have been taught is 'not normal', men dressing as women is 'not normal' in your world view and everything inside of you is rebelling against the fact that TVs are normal people who dress how they feel most comfortable.

The fear of which I speak is one that causes you to question your own deep core of beliefs and you are scared you'll uncover something you have long tried to keep hidden. I'm not suggesting you're a closet TV etc but I do think there is a level of xenophobia present in you because if you truly wasn't phased by the many differing peoples there are on this planet you wouldn't have made such a vociferous posting about it.

Wishy

we have agreed to disagree before and we've come through it OK but I have to agree with swinging 50's on this. Although what he says is brash to say the least. I think I would have put it a bit more succinctly.

I too have no interest in TV/TS's and I too would never research the subject but that doesn't make me ignorant or bigoted.

I am secure in my sexuality and I have no fear of what is considered 'not normal'. I'm neither xenophobic or homophobic. I am a true believer in each to their own but if they start to impinge on my lifestyle, then I would voice my opinion vociferously as well. As that hasn't happened, the situation in my case is a happy equalibrium.

In a public place I would wholeheartedly agree with you. If someone impinges on your lifestyle and won't take no for an answer then a firm slap down maybe neccessary but on a site like this where users create a profile that is for all to see maybe one should state clearly what they do not want as well as what they are looking for.

If it was me I'd simply say something along the lines of: "If we don't reply, you're not what we're looking for" - what further needs to be said, there's certainly no need to put it all on a forum, which to my mind, makes it sounds like xenophobia or homophobia, which of course, may not be the case at all.

Kinda leaves a person nowhere to go doesn't it.

If you shout too loud - then you just MUST be...

If you don't shout at all - well that's just conclusive proof!!

The 'he who shouts loudest' or 'he who protests too much' argument is always trotted out as a last line of defence, and usually without anything to follow it up with.

If you don't shout at all - well that's just conclusive proof!!

The 'he who shouts loudest' or 'he who protests too much' argument is always trotted out as a last line of defence, and usually without anything to follow it up with."

then why can't people just agree that everyone can have a preference without there being anything sinister in it.

The person who is being answered might not have been very tactful in what he was saying, but he is still allowed to say he doesn't want to get to know any TV's if he wants to....and should he be then being accused of having urges he is supressing?

I suggested he may be xenophobic (fear of something foreign or strange), not supressing latent TV urges.

But touche, point taken.

"Wishy

we have agreed to disagree before and we've come through it OK but I have to agree with swinging 50's on this.

As that hasn't happened, the situation in my case is a happy equalibrium."

By reading my original post you researched the subject or did you just wade in without reading it If you have no interest in such then why did you even bother to read and post on here in the first place.

Because he can.

He was answering wishy's post.

You can't pick and choose who will answer on a thread you have started.

Who wishes to pick and choose, certainly not me in fact I welcome all who wish to understand about what is often a very confusing subject to many. The confusion is not helped by the image the popular press often give. He says he has no interest at all yet he reads my thread and comments on it and what others have written. I find that rather strange. If somebody has no interest in the subject matter it just makes me wonder (esp as the title was very clear) why would anybody with no interest bother to read it and even comment on it.

Because I can and I enjoy a debate. if you bother to read through your own thread then you'll see I've contributed on a number of occassions. They might not be what you want to hear. However every posts to a thread is valuable in someones opinion. Thats why it's called a forum.

To be honest we have no interest in TV's and havn't researched the subject, but I read the thread and joined in.

I suppose no one has to understand why people post or how, only that they are allowed to.

Have avoided this thread so far I did decide to read the OP, and did so with interest as I don't know much about the world of TV etc. Having said that, I have no particular feelings either way, other than live and let live?
