A world of my own

I've got a few days off work, and as tomorrow seems like it will be the best day weather wise, I am thinking of getting out and about and away from the housework, cos if I stay in I'll find something to do and won't relax. Anyone got any ideas for days out in or around the North West? Bare in mind I don't drive so it would have to be somewhere accessible by public transport. Thanks

Can't think of a more boring day out than Trafford Centre, I want to be outdoors, maybe somewhere nice to take photos, not into shopping, sorry should have mentioned that.

Train up to Oxenholme and then you've Kendal and the Lakes to explore.
