We are fortunate that we do not need to scrimp on anything really, but when at uni I had to choose between quality food with cheap alcohol,or cheap food with quality alcohol. I will leave it to you to decide what I went for!

scrimping is such a harsh phrase, its more about being sensible and not paying for brand names and here are some examples

i can't believe it's not wall paper paste

(free butter from the butter mountain)

empty one cup biscuits (happy shopper own hob knobs)

happy shopper rola cola (drink it in one before it goes flat)

happy shopper brylcreem (lard)

real imitation leather shoes from bacons (always buy a pair 2 sizes to big and put on extra socks, very good on windy days)

liberate vegetables from the oppressive regimes of allotments

wine (what's wrong with meths with a squeeze of lemon juice for the ladies)

face cream (see happy shopper brylcreem above)

these any more money saving tips are available everywhere.

Realistically I think there is nothing I buy which is quality. I always buy average really. I have been bought a couple of things that are beand names and I do treasure them.

If money was different I would buy better stuff.

I have just spent a stupid amount of money on a Christmas present for my eldest. Its taken me ages to build up to that though x
