Having seen people moaning about being single on the thread about Christmas, I personally would like to say I would rather be single than in a relationship with someone who makes me unhappy!

I have had some lonely times as a single person, mainly due to being bonkers, but sleeping in the same bed as someone you despise and feel fearful of is much worse.

I have no desire to get into a relationship with anyone. It fascinates me how people seem to go from pillar to post like they are so afraid of being alone it doesn't matter that they get treated badly or they barely know the person yet are declaring undying love.

I'd rather be alone than in any relationship where I'm not totally happy.

I am very happy in my relationship, but i will be alone this Christmas but only because he is one end of the country and i am the other.... Like people have said it's just another day...

I would love a relationship however after having many unhappy years the next one has to be the right one!! I'm sick of mr wrong uns. Would rather be single than be unhappy and un trusting again x

Never has a Christmas alone, kids 2 sets of in-laws and a mother make that an impossibility. Actually quite looking forward to the day when I don't have to do dinner for 17, or worse go and sit on someone else's couch and do nothing all day as you are at the mercy of their traditions on Xmas day.
