"Michael Bolton, yeah, its 'cool' to make fun of him, but when it comes to sheer power and emotion he's practically untouchable. Also Michael McDonald, absolutely amazing set of pipes. Now if I could just think of another great singer called Michael I could have three great Mikes on the mic " |Mike Harding

"Yet no one has mention Freddie mercury! One of the strongest individual voices music has heard!! He was the stuff of legends that guy!" Yes, on sheer voice quality I don't think you could beat Freddie, and in the same era George Michael and Jacko's were pretty amazing. David Gilmour and Peter Gabriel are probably my all time favourites, and at the moment John Mayer, can't get enough of his.

There must be some kind of connection between that name and great singing ) had beautiful voices that could really capture all sorts of emotion, but lack in the sheer power of the first two guys I mentioned.

Don't know the name but I know that voice - was he a Doobie brother?? Yes he was...well, I still think George would match him on power - listen to some thing like 'They won't go when I go' - the man is a belter!!! Not Jacko of course - he just has to power to make me cry!! (That long note in 'You are not alone' brings tears to my eyes almost every time!)

YES Michael McDonald was one of the Doobie Brothers line up, if I could sing like any man it would probably be him, I just love that big soulful sound you can hear resonating right out of his chest. Listen to 'On my own', its wonderful. Michael Jackson had a beautiful voice.
