What unusual reasons have people given or received for not meeting and were they genuine or not

I can't think of an unusual reason I've been given for being turned down.

If someone doesn't want to meet me then they don't; why doesn't bother me. They don't need to explain themselves.

Being too fat is the most common reason, when one is given.
