How has your Monday been?

Mine has been fairly atrocious, a filling at the dentist (which I am terrified about!) then a lad I used to hang around with died, aged 25 to cancer.

Tomorrow will be a better day, I'm spending the day with Mum and I've got a friend coming round in the evening!

A good friend and work collegue died this morning. He was 57. I'm working away from home, sat in a hotel room and debating going out for a couple in his memory.

Vanilla, but I have some white chocolate to crush up and mix in with it

college assessment this morning, dentist this afternoon, work this evening.....

Not the best Monday, but at least I'm surrounded by my lovely family and I have my health and a roof over my head. Not much to complain about here!

Had to stay home today as one of my kids was sick, so first job was to tell work I wasn't available today (not really any skin off their nose as if I don't work they don't pay me - not good for my bank account though

Got eldest to school. Tried to get youngest to eat. Watched Home Alone 2. Rang tax office (successful) and tries several times to speak to British Gas (still unsuccessful).

Got work booked in for rest of week.

Tried to convince youngest to nap. Failed.

Picked eldest up. Made tea, listened to books being read, joined in with drawing and colouring, washed up, convinced kids it was their bedtime at 6.15 as both shattered.

Got them to bed then got into my own bed with a glass of wine and a list of things to hunt for online.
