I'd have severe withdrawal symptoms, my banking,food/clothes/shoe shopping keeping up with distant friends is all done through the internet!

Could definately livev without it, but would prefer to have it.

Online banking, shopping and all the rest of it is very convenient, but not strictly essential, however had it not been for the internet, I'd probably have never met my soulmate

So yes we'd manage without it, but would prefer to have it.

A world of my own

Not a chance, do practically everything via the net now, book holidays, get info, bank, shop etc.. my laptop has practically become an extention of my body, lol. Sad really but that's he price of technology I suppose.

There was a time I would spend hours writing a letter to my friend in the US,then I'd go to the post office to buy a stamp and post it, it would take about a week to get there then she would have to answer, post one back and I'd get a reply appox 3 weeks later. Now we email or MSN or video call on skype. Amazing really

we should have a 'No Internet' national day, lol. Can you imagine. What would people do? But I can hazard a guess that in nine months time there would be a population explosion, lol.

Can't live without it.

It has brought me loads of fun and friendship over the years for certain.

I do most of my shopping except for food online, plan and book holidays, as well as use internet banking on a regular basis.

Life without the net stops, totally dependant for banking, shopping and saving cash. Not to mention swinging, really couldn't face going back to the admag on Wednesdays, sending off a letter and waiting weeks!

personally, i would much prefer life with the internet. Where else could you find the answer to such random questions like, 'Where do flies go in the winter?'

btw - the answer is Benidorm. They have time shares apparently, lol

I went camping at a site where there was no mobile broadband coverage or have WiFi installed.

Although I managed to keep myself busy by doing things, I wished I could browse the internet and check e-mails etc...

Much as I liked the site itself, I shan't be returning and shall be looking for sites with BB coverage or WiFi installed!

Ooooooooooooh Pearl!!!!

You will be limiting yourself from certain sites if you do that!!!

LOL

Pets AND Broadband??? What ARE you thinking, hehehehe

When i go camping i actually really enjoy being FREE of phones (my mobile goes off) and internet and such like.

Just walk and walk and enjoy the countryside and fresh air and no work!

With all the walking i usually do - am usually shattered and in bed by 10pm, so too tired to browse internet even if there was access, hehehhe

There are enough with BB or WiFi to choose from, don't worry!

I still go walking and cycling with the pooch, and cook properly for breakfast and an evening meal. Having internet access means I could look things up such as local attractions more easily in case of change of plans due to bad weather etc...

Last night, my husband and I were sitting in the living room and I said to him, 'I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle.

He got up, unplugged the Computer, and threw out my wine.

He's such a bastard......

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

When Im at work overseas I often cant get internet access. I worry and worry about what Im missing...

I can spend days looking for an internet cafe, and if I find one it has the slowwwwwwest connection in the world. Then just when I get onto google the electricity goes off.

So I try again the next day and the day after. I finally get a connection, the electricity stays on, my inbox opens and all I have is junk mail....
