and already I've probably just had my second prospective meet fall through on me.

Oh well, gotta take the rough with the smooth haven't you, sort the wheat from the chaff, the red skittles from the green skittles...erm some other analogy

Anyway, my question to you is thus - what would you say your meets arranged to meets actually being fulfilled ratio is?

Feel free to do it in a percentage instead if you like, my threads are a pluralistic democracy.

It all comes down to early communication and contact.

Yes there are timewasters on this site, but I've never personally had one.

I have had 3 meets "Fall through" which have in nearly all cases been re-arranged.

Life happens, mostly things outside of your control.

I've not had this problem and I've had a fair few meets, it's all down to communication and intent from both sides.

I've had 4 cancellations in total of 4 years!

3 I was totally expecting and didn't come as any surprise, 1 tried to reschedule but never happened, again I didn't really try to hard as felt it was more for wank fodder

Yes, but his OP says prospective meets. His question is abut ratios of failed meets. Take from that that two prospects didn't work out - nothing lost there but hope. It is not a failed meet until they fail to show up.

I've had about 3 cancellations and I've cancelled about 3 but as they were in advance it doesn't matter. Only had one timewasting couple who arranged to meet then on the day...boom!...gone. I know the general area they were in and won't meet anyone from that area now.

There's a few we have met socially and would like to meet again, distance family life, work, pennies... The list is endless....

It can take months.... To try and arrange something when we are all free :/ this I find is the main problem....

Well, i've had a few meets now and a couple more planned. So, at the moment it has been 100 per cent.

Mind you, I only meet when someone invites me round and I rarely ask someone 'let's meet' (i'm weird like that - hopefully they know I want to meet them as we speak a lot lol)

..so, it all depends on me really and whether I turn up.

4 let downs in 2 years so not so bad we think. Our latest one was today from a regular that normally books a hotel near us for some fun but work had moved him to a different party of the country for next week. We like him and will find the time for him anytime he likes. Anyone else lets us down though we would never arrange to meet again

Well I'm happy (or arrogant) enough to say I have only been let down ONCE and that person did try to reschedule n came over all apologetic but I still declined. I dunno what the successful formulae are but in my case I don't meet same day n quite a tonnage of mail flows between potential meets n myself- so maybe that's the key
