Falling to pieces...

Prepare for a moan and a whine and maybe a little boo_hoo'ing

I have a stinking cold, an ear infection, a sore throat and TOM is due (time of month)

I've come back to bed, to mainly sulk and feel sorry for myself, because mostly I am a mard cow

Out of all this, the on thing hurting the most is my throat, the left side is so sore to even swallow (don't be rude) let alone to cough.....so can anyone recommend anything to sooth it?.

Or has anyone else got the lurgy, so as I don't feel like I'm dying alone.

I was going to say, its been suggested, I gargle salty water...but I thought I'd wait and see who wanted to suggest it.....you didn't let me down Funky . Pop it in a little cup and whack it in the post

I had this for 2 weeks and have finally shaken it off, so I know just how you feel!

Apple cider vinegar and honey with hot water works wonders on sore throats, plus steam inhalations...stay wrapped up in bed and hopefully you'll feel a bit better soon x

Awwwww thanks (besides funkys spunk)....I don't like honey Ever since childhood, I was forced to try a hot tody, yuck!, just the smell makes me feel green. I've been taking cold capsules and have ear drops and cream from the doctor. What I really need is a fitty in a loin cloth, feeding me grapes (M&S ones)....that's do-able, right?

I had this on Saturday , couldn't get out of me doctor have antibiotics and told me take paracetamol and Ibrufen . Drinks plenty fluids /soup , keep warm . And rest . 3 days in bed . Watched loads of good movies and took some well deserved rest . Back to work yesterday feeling refreshed and only 2 more days antibiotics .

Gargle TCP diluted with water a few times.

It is absolutely gross but does the trick really well (better than most over the counter stuff you can buy).

Try some lozengers with the antiseptic ingredients that numb the throat take ibuprofen for the swelling and paracetamol for the aches pains and temperature. Drink plenty fluids energy drinks (lucozade) and keep warm eat light things and get plenty rest . Get well soon

Your not alone, its been all over London and half our friends are down with it, we had to cancel going clubbing last weekend because of it. Tons of fluids, loads of vitmain C, fruit salad and strong antibiotics. (make sure you sleep lots too)

I take Vitamin C 1000mgms everyday and have done for years along with some other stuff and whenever I have got the hint of the lurgy it only ever lasts for a day. Hope that you are feeling better soon. xx
