On a site such as this we expected a very relaxed moral attitude. It seems that if people are not into the same things as you then they are quite often intolerant of your likes.

We all know the risks that we potentially take with our 'fabbing' lifestyles and preferences.....why cant it be live and let live a bit more?

depending on the topic, you are asking people to leave the morals they live by at the door.... and I think that is unfair...

I am sure there are certain topics where you for example would be more moralistic than others.....

i agree however i think some people only say the things they say because they are communicating with a screen and therefore they think they are exempt from being polite.

There are things like child porn etc that we would disagree with.

Some dont like anal or even bj's. If we dont like something we just go to a different post. If you come on this site i feel you have to accept others preferences and their chat about it.

They are unlikely to be the sort of people worth meeting anyway so I'm glad they 'out' themselves!

but now I am going to throw a spanner in... and play devils advocate

consenting based on the information given... but what happens if they leave out information that may have a bearing on the decision?

is that still consent?

okay..... there are certain circumstances which if I were to use them, it would turn very emotive...

okay... so for example, say you were adament you only play with straight guys... and you consent to meet and play on that basis.... but then you find out they are in fact bi.....

so it is kinda deception by omission....

what then?

But I doubt we all tell the truth all the time. We can all only go on what we are told and out intuition and I've used that intuition many times.

I would probably say most have the same ideas as most others ~(not all)

..they are just full of public BS and like to appear "Holier than thou"..

see... but thats the point I am sort of getting that.... is "holier than thou" really just someone you may not agree with, and is basically a pop at them

so if I disagree with an opinion of yours... its an easy thing the throw out

You can't take being judgemental out of the mix.....we are all guilty of it at some point over something, its the way of the world I suspect, but your sentiment is lovely and in an ideal world we would all live and let live.

Absolutely - it is all relative and part of what is commonly referred to as phenomenology of perception.

"Different people have different ideas of morality."

Exactly...not sure why people assume that because we all have this website as common ground we then no longer have different opinions on things. Everyone has boundaries, limits, fantasies, kinks and what some people enjoy others see as perversions...you get it in every walk of life so why should Fab be any different? If you don't share someone else's opinion on something then so be it...up to you if you choose to let that bother you or move on to someone looking for the same things.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

People are people. Just because its a swinger site it doesn't make people more tolerant of others. I have seen the worst bigotry on this site, and I have seen people being judged for purely enjoying an activity others don't.

Just assume that the people on here are the same as the people you meet in real life, with their faults and frailties. Then you won't be as disappointed.

Spot on! There is no reason whatsoever to assume that being a swinger/ hairdresser/ teacher/ musician/ church goer etc.... is necessarily associated with another quality ie tolerance of others.

It would not be logical. That said, a humanist stance would make people more inclined to be tolerant. So I would imagine anybody who has a genuine love for people is a tad more likely to be tolerant.

I'm a great believer in freedom of speech. I like banter and I think different opinions are interesting. I won't agree with everyone else just to go along like a sheep, if it's something I disagree with I'll say so. (On here and in 'real life'.)

However these are only my opinions and I respect other people's opinions even if they are different to my own.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I am intolerant of abuse, racism, sexism and homophobia on here.

What people do sexually, in a consenting, non harming situation is up to them as long as they don't want me to do anything I don't want to do.

There are a lot of people with issues, insecurities and fear who swing along with sex addicts and thrill seekers. The reality is swingers are as tolerant or as intolerant as the general public.

I am thoroughly intolerant of people who are not tolerant of others.

Oh, hang on a sec...
