How minor events shape history !!

Ever wondered how seemingly minor events can x shape history for good or bad

One example, the young Adolf Hitler passionately wanted to be an artist but his ambitions were crushed when he was rejected by an academy. And the rest is history.!!

If only we could turn back time to events such as these and make a different decision.

Any other examples ?

Titz Towers, North Notts

This is similar in vein to 'what might have beens'.

There have been a lot of works devoted to Counterfactual history. One of the better ones is 'The Hitler Options' which examines 12 different routes the war could have taken. A celebrated fictional work is, 'Fatherland' by R Harris.

I've got quite a few of these on my shelves

Fatherland was a great read - also made into a film but I can't remember if I enjoyed that or not.

"If it hadn't been for my bloody paper round I would have been a professional footballer. "

But McD's would have gone out of business. Be happy as you are.
