Ive just been watching 'Neighbourhood Blues' and the narrator has just incorrectly described Staffie Bull Terriers as 'fighting dogs which aren't on the dangerous dogs list'.Any fellow staffie owners on here get cross as to how these fantastic family pets get such a negative press!!

Winds me up too. A dog well raised and treated with love is a good pet no matter what the breed.

I was rwading up on dig breeds when looking for a new pet , and I was surprised to read pit bulls / staffies were not advised as guard dogs as they were people friendly , it is the human factor that makes them dangerous ... however beware chiw awas ( excuse the spelling ) they are vicious , bit me on three occasions !!!

Would your dog attack someone that came into your house and hurt you?

No dogs are fighting dogs, it is how they treated that will make them a fighting dog.

They used to be called "the nursery dogs" for their suitability with families.
