A colleague and myself had a 70s themed day with some teenagers they hadn't heard of half the games we used to play ,they couldnt grasp how play two balls against the wall ,struggle to jump in and skip ( if you know what I mean )

I can't help but agree. Growing up through the 80's was so much better than it is now. Kids can't do half of what we were almost encouraged to do back then for fear of ending up with an ASBO.

Monday evenings being the evening where the tv was brought from the living room to the kitchen for us to watch Blue Peter.

I went to my local corner shop the other day and they have Bubbly gum. They were 5p each, I can remember them being 1/2 a penny!

Single screen cinemas with a circle and stalls, double features and the halftime usherette with tubs of vanilla icecream and little wooden spoons and plastic tasting Kiora orange drink that made you more thirsty. All that and change from a fiver including tickets to film.
