Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I have plans for small wins, £2m or so, and big wins, anything over £10m.

Most goes to specific charities after I have given half to my sister.

With what I keep for myself I throw a great big long party and try and make people happy for a week.

my passport has expired so the first thing id do is head to the passport office and get it renewed, then head to London with all of my family, book into a 5 star hotel, shop til we drop, get pampered, hair done etc then jet off on Holiday for about 4 weeks, then come home and buy my dream home and cars, and then once ive got that out of the way and the dust is settled sit down and formulate a plan as to what im gonna do with the rest of the dosh, how im gonna give to everyone, charity, invest etc etc.

God I love that to really happen!

Seems like a lot of people are like me and would want sort out family and friends. But take note that in the remote possibility that you do win any money you give them would become taxable income for them.

hmrc always want their cut, unless you are a global corporation of course.

I believe it would only be taxed if your estate is worth over £325,000 and you died within 7 years of giving the money.

that would be for inheritance tax, but money recieved in this way would be liable for income tax

True.. That's only as big as a decent pension pot

Did you know that once this guy won the lottery and then the next day he commited suicide?

...money don't buy happiness but I could just buy an Audi S8 with a lottery win. And i'd be a happy bunny.

"

I would say so too.

I would say say 5 mill+ is comfortable.

At least if said winner was to stay in the UK.

Remember there is tax on that. So sub 5 mill isn't a massive amount.

I'd book to see a few financial advisers and then immediately bugger off to the Bahamas for a few weeks to chill and decide how to divide up the money.

I'd probably buy a decent plot of land and build a few nice houses for my close family with enough land so they can do what they want on (fishing lake for my brother in law etc).

I would buy myself a nice pad in London and just go travelling whenever I feel like it. Not having a job or any worries I would dedicate my spare time to causes I believe in.

I forgot to buy my Euromillions Friday...

Take care of my mortgage as I love my house and wouldn't move. Look after my family. Bugger off to New York for a shopping spree and on my return buy a place so I could play (hate travelling, yes I'm lazy as my profile will state) happy bunny then mmmm

I'd spend most of it on debauched nights out and debauched hollidays the rest I'd probably just waste lol

I would like to start a football club for disadvantaged kids and kids and adults with learning difficultys about 10 teams of different ages and abillitys there's nothing like seeing kids score their first goal or seeing them learn to be gracious in defeat

Essex.

I love all the posts saying they would get security guards.... Even if you won the big euro lottery of say 160 million... There are hundreds of people far far richer than you and a hell of a lot of them don't have security... I don't think a 20 million win really justifies a security team, just some common sense...
