Ive badly burnt my bottom

Of my slow cooker

had it on the cooker and mistakenly put me back ring on

It was the smell that alerted me....not the big red hot ring.

But..........it still works

Well ive lost two knobs off the slowcooker and the plasticky stuff came off my ring when it wasnt hot.
