As a matter of interest who actually funds the Trust?

Public Sector income (contracts and grants to deliver support to young people from statutory bodies) fell from £17 million to just under £14 million. Charles does not put any money into it. I would much rather Dennis Skinner as the figure head!

The Prince had 12 official engagements on the trust one of which was a garden party funded from the privy purse again freely available from official web sites and companies house. I am not doubting the work the trust carries out is laudable and seeks to help but Royal patronage is..........medieval in my humble, short sighted, republican opinion!

" patronage gives something a little credence with those that have money to donate. as said, do you think the fund would get the donations if it wasnt what it is? of course not, people would just moan about it being the governments job to fund small business start ups. as i asked before, do you know WHO donated this money? you cannot be certain they arent people from Charlies circle of friends and contacts, rather than just millions of members of the general public.

The accounts record donations from private individuals totalling £3m mostly from estate bequeaths. Additionally the accounts show income from founding partners who seem to be large businesses (so its a tax relief issue) And ok you have sussed me I do not think that Charlie has any concept of the work his trust does and Dennis Skinner by the way has done more for the working classes of this country than the last 20 generations of the Royal family.

"still takes £19m from various sources of public and private money." Just a quick correction. The heir to the throne does not get any public money. Price Charles being the heir to the throne became the Duke of Cornwall at birth and all his income is from the Duchy. As soon as he becomes King that title will pass to William and his Royal income will stop and he will then live on the income from the duchy.

And in the usual way when pulled up on fact you then deny what you have already said. Rather than coming up with all this shit to justify your political aims why dont you grow a pair and say "I want to remove the monarchy by any means and replace it with a politician".
