I should point out that I am a republican and see no real merit in the Royal Family but reading an article the other day on Charles now he qualifies for a pension and bus pass it struck me how mixed up the man is. The article delved into his mind set and the man who seems to have a social conscience but still takes £19m from various sources of public and private money. He was, it seems intensely jealous of the firs Mrs Windsor and does not spend a lot of time with the current one. A true enigma!

Its a vehicle to ingratiate royalty into society and the figure head has little to do with the work the organisation does. As a matter of interest who actually funds the Trust?

The Prince had 12 official engagements on the trust one of which was a garden party funded from the privy purse again freely available from official web sites and companies house.

I am not doubting the work the trust carries out is laudable and seeks to help but Royal patronage is..........medieval in my humble, short sighted, republican opinion!

patronage gives something a little credence with those that have money to donate.

The accounts record donations from private individuals totalling £3m mostly from estate bequeaths. Additionally the accounts show income from founding partners who seem to be large businesses (so its a tax relief issue) And ok you have sussed me I do not think that Charlie has any concept of the work his trust does and Dennis Skinner by the way has done more for the working classes of this country than the last 20 generations of the Royal family.

As soon as he becomes King that title will pass to William and his Royal income will stop and he will then live on the income from the duchy.

I've read the narrative, and its the standard inaccurate and just plain wrong mudslinging spread by envious republicans in order to damage our royal family.

And in the usual way when pulled up on fact you then deny what you have already said.

Rather than coming up with all this shit to justify your political aims why dont you grow a pair and say "I want to remove the monarchy by any means and replace it with a politician".

I feel kinda sorry for him. His whole life he has been spent in waiting for a role i very much doubt he will ever take up. I always think he's very troubled. Big cuddle here for him ....if he wants it...lol
