I haven't had a full nights uninterrupted sleep for 20 years or more. It's something you don't really appreciate until it's gone.

I find one of the worst things is that I don't look forward to going to bed because I know I'll wake up feeling worse than when I went to sleep. Plus it's horribly aging

yep your right my eyes look like I done ten rounds with Tyson not like it all the time once I start it sort of becomes a habit

I find that a good fuck just before you go to sleep helps quite a lot

Yup pain ended my ability to get a night's sleep a couple of years ago. Despite meds and a proper mattress I wake every two hours or so when I turn over.

That's when I eventually get to sleep.

Have you tried Valerian, that works for me if I get stressy? (in eg Nytol herbal).

Or, strangely, go see a chinese medical herbalist - they can be brilliant at stuff like that IME.

I find if I got a busy Monday I can't sleep properly overthinking what I need to do then I'm stuck in that rut all week wish I could go back to the day's were I couldn't give a fuck lol!

A good bedtime routine (and no a shag is not what i mean) will help. No TV, laptop or external stimulation. The room the right temperature etc..Having your bedroom as a bedroom not an extension of your living room helps...

..I often struggle to sleep so I imagine the issues which are keeping me awake as physical entities, I put them in a box, lock the box and remind myself to sort that tomorrow...There is nothing I can do to sort it tonight - it is locked away..

It works for me...

try doing yoga before you go to bed about 30 minutes should do the trick.

I slept great before I had my boy. Now he sleeps 10 hours straight but idea wake early but most of the time I'm awake at 4! And thru the night, and I daren't have a sneaky kip in the day or I don't get to sleep till 1am and I'm still up at 4!! Argh!
